Is purgatory sword the "Rularuu" Titan Weapon?

It's not, but I don't think that there is a rularuu Titan weapon model yet.

If I went ahead and killed 100 just for the hell of it, do you think I'd unlock it automatically upon release? (If there ever IS one)

It's a decent stand-in for a Rularuu weapon I suppose, but it doesn't look like the other Rularuu weapons. Hopefully we'll get a real Rularuu TW sooner or later.
Edit to reply to ShadowMoka: Assuming there ever is one, and that it's unlocked by the Overseer badge, yes it should unlock immediately if you already have the badge.

You seem to be confused. I wasn't joking. It won't be added in as an auto-unlock if you have the Visionary badge already, it'll be part of a weapons pack. That's how things work now.

I recall Zwillinger mentioning there'd be a rularuu titan weapon, but I can't tell if that's what purgatory sword is or if I unlock it by killing 100 overseers. I just wanna confirm one or the other before I spend the next hour or so in shadow shard wiping out rularuu.
