So, Statesman's gonna die.

According to this, Statesman will be dying in 2012. That means that we have until the end of this month to kill him ourselves one last time!

On Saturday December 31 at 5 PM est I would like to organize a Lord Recluse Strike Force to say bon voyage, get outta here, this is villain territory, you're not welcome, etc. to Statesman in as many different ways as possible- Mainly by beating the crap out of him.

So, bring out your most diabolical villains for this! Sign up here.

I'd imagine we have until March, at the current rate the SSA arcs are dropping, until States bites it. But yeah, count me in. (If you make it a master I'll bring Stone)

Edit: Ah, nevermind, I see they're killing him off in #5. Kinda early there, wow.

Edit#2: And thanks for spoiling it for me. >_>

So, is this a permanent death, or will there be one of the many ways that they've brought dead superheroes back from the dead used on Statesman? Clone? Trapped in time, not really dead? Body double used?

I say we start a pool as to when States comes back and how.

I'm still wondering if he's really going to be dead or if he's just going to be comic book dead only to come back by the end of the arc and the permanent death they've advertised will be someone else. I'm just trying to figure out why they would go and announce it before that part is even released.

He isn't going to die.. he is going ROGUE! and as such dead to the people of Paragon

Nah, they made it clear ahead of time that this will be a permanent, content changing kind of thing.

You should brawl him to death. A group of my friends did this to manticore on the RSF, it would be amusing to see this done to statesman, if possible.

Those of you on JS know this to be true, but I fricken CALLED IT!

So Long States, I won't miss you.

Yeah, the who will die arc will do that, but there's no rule saying they can't kill off statesman in part 5 then bring him back in part 7 and have someone else die, just to throw everyone's speculation off. But that's just me being skeptical that they'd come out and tell us who was going to die when they've gone through the trouble of building suspense for it.

Edit: But then again, maybe I'm giving them too much credit?

Yeah, unless Who Will Die is a Nemesis plot I don't think something like that will happen. They're also doing their whole 'Salute to Statesman' loyalty program thing, I don't think they'd go through the trouble of announcing a death and then going "lol sike!" afterwards- Leaving the villainy to the villains, and all that.

As a heads up, I'm still making you guys kill Statesman with me before he dies officially. You have one week!

And for this one I totally apologize. I was online, but thought I scheduled this event for next weekend. I brought my main (rogue) full hero for this event to pick up alignment merits and help a friend with prestige- I was planning on making him a Vigilante this week, and I have no other Villains on Protector.

I guess I need to learn to read a calendar. I'll use my get out of jail free card (I still have one of those, right?) and try this next weekend as I thought I was all along.

If you're lucky, Sept, the next WWD arc won't be Live next week.
