Accuracy of DP?

Im playing a +3 DP/Time corr atm and i've started questioning the accuracy of some of the DP attacks. For example, when beating down on the AVs in BaF, I will only see orange numbers on maybe every third attack? Does this mean im missing a lot or are the numbers just not showing up?

I notice this effect a lot on any character in group combat. It seems to be that the numbers just don't show up, but are still doing damage. I guess the engine only renders so many numbers at a time or something? So if there are a lot of people attacking, it can't show numbers for all of them, and apparently doesn't prioritize your own attacks.

If you're worried about accuracy, though, you can track Last Hit Chance in Combat Attributes. With 3 level shifts and decent acc slotting it should be 95% most of the time.

You could always create a new tab in your chat log and add to hit rolls on it. It'll give you a pretty good history of your attacks, your hit chance, what you rolled and what the damage was.

If it functions in anyway like Dual Blades it is working as intended. If not, this is something to keep an eye on.

DP has nothing to do with dual blades, there's no combo system.

Anyway, DP has an accuracy bonus (1.1). Less than Archery (1.155), but more than AR and Beam (1.05). Executioner Shot has 1.25, same as AR's snipe and MORE than the usual snipes (like Elec, Fire, all 1.2), even though ES isn't a Snipe.

Hail of Bullets has 1.4, same as BR's mini nuke and most usual crash nukes (Inferno, Blackstar, Nova, etc), while RoA from Archery has 1.6 and Full Auto has 1.35.

So DP is higher than most sets overall for accuracy except Archery.

If you have serious questions, turn on your combat attributes monitor. Personnally, mine is always on with the following. You can turn these on by hand, or with the /monitorattribute command. (At least I think that's the command without looking it up again)

PVE Stealth
Last Chance to Hit
Melee Defense
Ranged Defense
AoE Defense
Smashing Resist
Energy Resist

and a few other stats depending on character.

There are a few powers that don't seem to update the "last chance to hit", just as there are still a few powers that dont' always display correctly in real numbers. However, in general a quick glance at the monitor will tell you if you're missing too much. Mine almost never leaves 95%.
