Kitana VS Broadsword
Katana allows your concept to be much more ninja-esque, and therefor ill fitted for duels since a ninja is unlikely to challenge someone to a duel and instead just stab them in the back.
Broad sword on the other hand, you can be a barbarian, a knight, or a guy with a really big sword. All of which are much better for the RP invovled in setting up a duel. Most people will dismiss your Katana character, because of it being a poor dueling concept.
What you should really wait for is titan weapons, it has a parry clone, and it is an even bigger sword than broadsword. So on the off chance you do lose, you can simply explain to them "Mine is still bigger than yours" because really, that is what melee v melee boils down to. Add in regen instead of EA and you'll be set.

Yes duh obviously, but also you forgot to tell him to take soul mastery and spam shadow meld, even when he needs to be attacking. Remember, making an overly defensive build that can't kill the opponent means you're winning. WINNING. Just keep up the defenses with your barrier, add in Burnout for good measure to refresh all your regen shenanigans. Then you will end in a DRAW, that means you're pro!

Broadsword is a new Mortal Kombat character?
I am not shure, cuz on my ss/fire brute my damage% with rage and fury goes way over 300% most of the time in battle. Id say there all close though. Theres a BS/Regen scrap that beat my brute 3 times in a row in long drawn out fights. Granted i just started playing again after 2 year break, but BS seems just as strong as it ever was.

KM/EA/Blaze Scrapper
Dear Bob I read this wrong originally....
I saw Kitten VS Broadsword.
I've honestly never PvP'd, but in PvE I personally like Katana/Elect scrappers. They wipe the floor with the mobs.

Were you thinking of a ranged set, shooting them out of a BR type config or melee set, holding them by the tails like nunchucks?

Kitten PvP would be different.

.....though Sword-chucks would be an interesting ranged/melee....(Sorry, insomnia + caffeine = weird ideas)

Both have a parry move which is exactly the same so let's disregard that.
I noticed a few kit/regen brutes and i'm in the market for a new actual lolmelee toon. I'm looking at one of these two combos.
Kitana/Energy Aura
Broadsword/Energy Aura
Scrap or Brute.
Basically this toon will be mainly to answer that "Any duel?" question.
Long story short, which is better and why? Also should I go brute or scrap?
