LoTGs don't count in the +7.5% rechg rule of 5?

I was playing with a build on mids and I have
5 LoTG +7.5% rechg
Sting of the Manticore set +7.5% rechg
2x Basilisk's Gaze +7.5% rechg

I would expected Mid's to warn me I was over 5 sets with the same bonus but it doesn't. Bug or do LoTGs really not add up to the "real" sets?

An lotg 7.5% is different from a regular 7.5%.

Edit: the reason for the difference is on the LotG, the 7.5% Recharge is being provided by the IO itself, it is NOT a set bonus. A set bonus, you need at least two of that set. But with LotG, if you put only one of those in a power, it still works.

They count in that if you had 6xLotG's only 5 of them would count. (Edit part 2: I'm not certain that it is even limited in this way, since the 7.5% is a function of the IO, not a set bonus.)

They form their own rule of 5 since they are global IOs and not set bonuses. So you can have 5 from sets and 5 LOTG 7.5%

LOTG's are their own animals in that sense, they don't conflict with other 7.5% rech bonuses.

You are not over. LotG's are their own 'type' of bonus, and will stack with other (non-LotG) 7.5% recharge bonuses. It is therefore possible to get 10 on one toon.

Thx, I never realized that. I didn;t used to be able to afford LoTGs, let alone dream of 5 of them!

They are limited in this manner. LotGs function in exactly the same way as a Set Bonus (and indeed are listed under set bonuses in your info window) however they have a different name from normal set bonuses and as such count separately for rule of fives purposes (if you're curious they grant you a "Luck of the Gambler: Recharge Speed" while normal sets grant you a "Huge Recharge Bonus").

This, it's all in the name of the bonus and has nothing to do with the numerical value of the bonus.
