HELP! DB/SR needs tweaking

Doomguide

I have a DB/SR toon that I'm trying to tweak. As of right now, I have T4 Ageless Core Epiphany / T4 Alpha Spiritual Core Paragon / T4 Reactive. I've built this toon for recharge, my question is this:

- What's a good for SR in terms of S/L resistance? I realize that resistance is scaled for SR, but it's still good as a safety blanket I suppose. I'm thinking it's impossible to reach resist cap with SR. If there's a way, I would love to know.

- My goal is to have as high resistance as possible without sacrificing defense % or +Rech

- For those who have high Regen on their SR, what's a good % to shoot for?

Thanks in advance for the help!

s/l resist bonuses from IOs are few and far in between and give no more than 2%. Not worth chasing after. Tough is the only means to add more resistance to SR.

It would be more beneficial to build for more hp and regen.

High hp sorta translates into resistance and makes regen more potent, too.

In my defense builds, I always shoot for 1% hp/sec for regen. More is always better, of course.

Here's what I would do with your build...

Damage Resistance is hard to build for on a /SR. Most builds will just have whatever Tough will provide with minimal slotting, 15ish% in S/L and a few miscellaneous percentages from IO set bonuses. As for regen on a /SR, I think average would be around 20-23 hp/sec.

What attack chain are you using? Recharge is overkill for the BF-AB-VS-SS-repeat (Attack Vitals) chain. I think it might be a hair short for the BF-AB-SS-Ab chain but I might be wrong.

First build for softcap defense then 95% DDR, recharge and then hit points/regen. Tweak it for endurance if that becomes an issue.

Couple notes:

One too many LotG 7.5 rech, you have 6 slotted.
Drop a slot in Hasten, it will still be perma.

@ Inifi - Interesting build, I forgot about Hami-Os. I like the overall totals you posted and only giving up 10% in Recharge. I would need a complete respect because my slotting very different from yours, although not an issue since I have a crap load of respec tokens. Thank you for your input, I will be trying out that build.

@Ricohdah - My attack chain is as follows: BF/AS/SS/AS -I can double stack BF. I was using Attack Vitals until I found this attack chain. With T4 Ageless on, End is not really an issue, since it's basically Perma

This is the build I would make with Ageless:

Tossed in a self heal, ranged and targeted AoE attack.

I never really looked closely at Ageless before. 100% end recovery the final minute which is better than a fully slotted Stamina! Awesome! The last minute of Ageless that provides 10% recharge should be enough to run the BF-AB-SS-AB-repeat chain.

The Resistance cap for scrappers is 75% ... so no you won't reach the cap without being seriously low on health as the passives will hit about +60% about the time you keel over. My SR's generally have between 15-17% with Tough +/- the Shield Wall +3% resist (all). On the otherhand outside of silly scrapper tricks I eat a LOT of orange inspires over the course of a mission so rarely am I at my 'base' level.

I'm gunning for 1850+ total health and 25+ hp/sec passive regen on most of my SR builds, my current plans on my Claws/SR is 2023 health and 29 hp/sec (and 20.4% S/L resists) outside of Incarnate boosts (Rebirth Radial in particular). She also has Aid Self available thou rarely used. Note that I'm not personally prone to chasing +recharge on them either. Chasing +recharge bonuses will definitely impair gaining regen and max health bonuses. I've seen a MA/SR build with about 31 hp/sec regen (again outside of Incarnate boosts).

Thanks in advance for the help!

So with the patch yesterday and the added Alpha power "Agility", it changes things a little bit. I was running T4 Alpha Spiritual with 45% Rech and 33% Health, I was thinking of switching to Agility on Alpha, running Rebirth for Destiny instead of Ageless. Agility would take care of +rech +end and rebirth would take care of the +regen.

Agility's endurance doesn't really help as much as Ageless. I think in most cases it will add 0.25 to end recovery (More if there's other end gain powers such as Physical Perfection). Swapped some power and IO's around and came up with this build. With Agility, will be able to run the BF-AB-SS-AB-repeat attack chain and have 47.7% defense in all positions. Swapped the heal for a perma pet since you will have Rebirth:

You're right Agility +end, it's nowhere near enough, I took a quick glance at the new power before looking at actual numbers. At the rate I use End, I'll chew my blue bar in about 30 secs or less.

One note I'd like to make - You have Mu Mastery set, AFAIK that's only available red side. The only thing I was really interested in EPP was Body mastery, I used conserve power exclusively before Ageless, which worked, but had about ~45 sec downtime.

That's simple enough. Just swap PPP/APP and make some IO changes to adjust for it. Just have a clear vision of what you want and take the appropriate powers/IO set bonuses to achieve it. We can post build for you all day but since we don't know what you really want or the requirements you have for your build, it's pretty much just passing time.
