Driver Cleaning question
The latest nVidia driver installation package includes and option to do a Clean Install--where it uninstalls old drivers first. I'm not sure Driver Sweeper is actually required anymore.
Hmmm, interesting. THank you.

The "clean install" should be fine unless you've switched cards, AMD to Nvidia, etc. Normally you only remove/clean the nvidia "display" portion of the drivers.
Hey all, I just downloaded and installed a copy of Driver Sweeper and hve a few questions before I fire it up, as I have never used this particular driver cleaner before.
I was going to uninstall my Nvidia driver. Should it be all instances of Nvidia installed on my HDD? Audio Driver, Graphics, nView, PhysX?
When I run the cleaner in Safe Mode the options are Analyse and Clean....it gives a laundry list of options;Nvidia-Chipset, Display, PhysX. Should I clean them all? Are any irrelevant?
Should I also clean the AMD Display? It's one of my options. I have an AMD 3Core running an Nvidia 9800 GT 1G With 3 scoops of RAM (pretty sure its DDR2 although not sure where to find that info on my PC) Directx9 and im on Windows XP Home if that info is relevant to any of your answers.
Thanks
