MM, Pets and Set Bonus'
BTW that is some of the gripe that mastermind players have. They would really like some of the set bonuses to apply to the pets. It would really help some struggling combos. Though I could see it also putting other combos like Robot Traps more over the top then it is now ( not that its a complaint, I have one ).

what I would see as an acceptable compromise, would be to have any set bonus (bar defence bonuses maybe) from pet sets, apply to pets as well as the MM. Not sure if it would be doable, but having say, endurance and damage % bonuses also apply to pets would certainly help quite a lot of the different types of pets.

I think ALL bonuses should apply to the pets to..especially defence. Not counting bots, traps, ff, maybe dark, its very hard to get enough defence on your pets to actually notice. Even more so with secondaries that have no inherent -to hit.
I can sort of see the accuracy and recharge not going to pets, because of Supremacy, and the pets attack chains being (hopefully) balanced around the recharge of said attacks. But things like healing, hold duration, damage, would be very handy.
I'd love it if ninja's could benifit from the MM's def bonuses. Might be possible to get them enough defense to make a difference on something other than FF or traps.
That...was a Herocon 09 exclusive easter egg. The powerset will not have doves associated with it.
Namely because you guys would want to color tint the damn doves, or make them hawks/ravens/flying sharks/etc and that's just a headache I do...not...want...to deal with. |
I really don't think we need it. I mean, sure it would be great to have, will make some set bonuses mean a hell of a lot more than what they do now. But in all honesty, Masterminds are already pretty overpowered as it is, it's almost expected that your mastermind can take on missions spawned for an entire team otherwise there's something really wrong with your build.
I find one of the challenging things about Masterminds is the fact that you have to look after your pets, you have to cover their behind otherwise they die, It's not just simply, walk into mission with AV, set pets to attack then go make your coffee. Tactics play a role, and most builds I've found at least I can still work it around to get the maximum benefit from set bonuses
Just my two cents
If I have, lets say a 2% Damage Buff, from a set I have slotted (it isn't in any of my minions), does the pets damage get the 2% bonus or is it just attacks from my self that benefit?
