soul extraction
You can send 1 pet in to take one for the team.
Set all pets on passive then use a macro (or use advanced controls) to set 1 pet on goto aggressive and send him up to a mob, then once he dies reset all pets to attack (or bg mode) and charge in and quickly use extraction then recall the dead pet.
There is a few macros you can use like: select a pet and use /macro go "petcom goto agg" or use /macro go "petcomname squidgy goto agg".
Of course you still have to decide which pet to send, a min will die quick but your boss pet will give a tougher soul, however he may take too long to die and the foes may aggro on you.
If you are /traps then take detonator and use it to auto kill the lich everytime soul extraction is up
As mentioned before you can bind a macro to send 1 pet of your choice to the enemy to die
Or if your really really want that soul extraction then you can kill all your pets at once with the /releasepets command. No dont bother asking if you can release one single pet like this because you cant. You may dismiss a pet one at a time or all at once BUT dismiss unlike /releasepets will not leave a body behind. /releasepets is unique in that it causes the death animation for your pets(lore pets as well) thus you can now cast soul extraction on your recently dead pets. (Also of note if you use the Nemesis lore pets the warhulk has that nasty self destruction aoe when he dies, great to use releasetpets on him when his timer is about to expire)
Its not really worth it IMO to constantly kill your pets in order to have 1 or 2 soul extractions up all the time, I guess it depends on your secondary but the soul extractions have only 3 attacks and only they really do not do that much damage(ie the wraith). So I just summon one nowadays when a pet dies, even a minion.
Aw man I started using MM's back when you had to call them individually it never occured to me to use /releasepets now that they are easy to recall, thankyou Vince.

Anyone care to share tips on how to reliably use this? I don't like waiting for my zombie to die in order to use it, and it doesn't seem to work if i dismiss it. (Or maybe it does and i just couldnt get it to!)
