Titan Weapons / Fire Aura Build, please comment.

hello.
I'm looking for a general purpose (high end+farming) build, since TW isn't available on mid, I used Dual Blade as following:

-Power Slice = Crushing Blow (starter ST attack) I did not use defensive sweep to keep a good ST chain
-Vengeful Strike = Follow Through (T3 ST attack, need momentum)
-Blinding Deint = Build Up
-Sweeping Strike = ... Sweeping Strike (Cone attack)
-Ablating strike = Shatter Armor (high damage ST attack with def and res debuff)
-Typhoon Edge = Whirling Smash (pbae attack, need momentum)
-One Thousand Cuts = Arc Of Destruction (high damage cone attack)

I know the build is expensive.

Ah, interesting how those line up, I was using broad sword to try and get an idea about what to do with titan melee, but dual blades matches it much more closely.

I don't have any comments on the build itself (no time to look at it closely), however I wonder how good titan/fire will be considering all the redraw (3 bread and butter powers will cause redraw from fiery aura, and you're going to be causing redraw from your patron attacks also). Don't get me wrong though, I think it would be an insane offensive threat (anything with fire involved tends to be such), just all that redraw could be an issue. Also using patron/secondary abilities means less time with momentum up and/or less use out of the time that you have momentum active.

Personally I've been looking at /dark, /Elec, or /EA over fire because of the issue with redraw, and that's the first time I've considered anything that doesn't involve fire viable for high end content in over a year or two. Keep in mind that the traditional SS/Fire only has a single AoE coming from its primary, meaning it benefits alot from Burn and patron aoes to fill its aoe attack chain, however with titan melee you have a pbaoe and 2 strong cones, and the pbaoe (whirling smash) is on a 14 second base recharge versus footstomps' 20 second base recharge. This means you should be alot less reliant on additional aoes from secondary and/or patron.

Just some things to think about. I dont think titan/fire will be in any way bad, but I don't think its going to be the same kind of game changer like SS/Fire is compared to say SS/Elec, since Titan Melee has so much aoe as well as the issue of redraw.

Couple comments:

Endurance recovery is going to be killer. While having 45% to smashing/lethal is nice, it isn't worth only having 2.8 recovery before accolades. On my normal toons I try for about 3.2-3.3 before accolades, and a Titan Weapons user will want more than that. I'd suggest moving at least one slot from consume to Health (for the numina proc), taking cardiac, and maybe even ageless to balance the recovery. Another option is taking ageless and the new Alpha Agility, which gives bonuses to end mod, defense, and recharge. That would let you take slots from defense powers, help with consume stamina, and would also give you some free recharge.

Secondly, I am questioning the amount of -kb. If you follow my advice above, you should be able to move a few slots around and slip in some Karma -kb in for enzymes or LotG (not the +recharge). You only have 4 pts of -kb, and most people suggest about 12.

Accuracy seems to be good, and you probably won't need Defensive Sweep with that build. If you are going out all, you might consider switching Panacea for Doctored Wounds, which gives much nicer bonuses. Other than that, looks good. I'm not sure if the glad proc will work in Burn however, so it may be wise to switch the slotting of Burn and Arc of Destruction.

The glad proc works real nice in burn. I'd say put the proc in whichever you're using more often.

I was under the impression that procs generally do not work in summoned pseudopets like Burn, as the proc will affect the target, which would be the summon. This is why Shield Charge doesn't work with procs. Now, if the proc applied to the power Burn used by the Burn pseudopet, it may work.

I don't know, haven't tested. If you say it works, I'll believe you.

On my ss/fire brute, on whom I have the glad -res proc slotted in Burn, I see the -res shield on stuff I'm fighting, so I assume it's working fine. That is in solo play, and he has no other -res procs on him.

I also have a beloved fire/shield scrapper, with a full oblit set in shield charge, and I see the smashing proc from that set fire all the time. And I've seen lockdown hold procs fire off from friend's Earth Control -> Volcanic Gases. I'm pretty sure that procs work in pseudopets, racking my brain right now to think of an exception...

Edit: Procs that affect the user, like say, a Perf. Shifter +end proc in Short Circuit, won't function properly, if i remember right. Gives end back to the mobs targeted. Different than an offensive proc, though, which for me work fine in pseudopets.

Shield Charge works fine with procs, as long as the procs target enemies, like damage procs. Self-targetted procs, like the Force Feedback +Recharge, will target the pet and thus not do anything.

I think in the case of when both yourself and an enemy are a valid target for a proc it will check to fire on both as well. For example, a Perf Shifter proc in Power Sink.

here is my revised build, since after some test I'm sure I don't need PPPs AoE.
