So I made one of these, IOed it completely, didn't get incarnates but it just sucked... I felt like the DPS was terribly low.

My question is, has anyone else tried this build? What have you noticed?

Scourge is calculated when you first click the attack, not when the damage lands, so if youre running will dom > psi dart > TK blast, theres a good chance youre firing all three attacks before they go under half health and not getting any scourges.

So basically Psy kinda works against corrs?

Psy does indeed work poorly for Corruptors. However, the main reason to pick Psy blast for a Poison Corr remains: If you plan to play that poison on a Psy damage spike team, you want to have the ability to contribute to the spike by using attacks with the same animation and travel times. There are two other reasons to pick psy blast: the base range is 100 as opposed to 80 on most other sets and Scramble Thoughts has a base duration of 4 seconds, which is double other corrupter mezzes (barring Archery's Stunning Shot). However, if you were not planning to play on a psy spike team, psy is generally weaker than several other primaries (sonic, fire, dark...).

Ahh makes sense. My other question is...

How does a rad/fire fender compare to rad/psy? and mind u im talking 1 v 1 situations.

i'd probably be using tk snipe technique on either. i see fire has quite a bit more dmg but psy has delayed dmg...

That's the reason I went Fire for my Poison. All quick attacks for Scourge.

I think the only reason to go psi over fire for 1v1s would be for the placate proc.

Fire just does so much damage, and it actually works well with reactive.
