First of all your existing niche may recover, but it could take months. It could also happen never. Niches tend to be cyclic like that, with few exceptions. Those who find a steady earner don't tend to advertise it to others.
The alternative is to niche hop. When one gets blown, look for another to replace it. Maybe check back periodically to see if one of the old ones has recovered.
Another thing to consider is whether the profits are still at an acceptable level even at the new, lower price. It can be hard to let go of the expectation set by the old price point, but if the profits are within your acceptable range, roll with the punches. Pull and re-list if necessary and keep on going.
I think many of the market regulars work quite a few different items simultaneously. When one niche is blown it hardly registers.
Current price isnt acceptable. you gotta figure with 30 A merits being a glad +3% proc you can figure out how much you should be getting for 1 A merit. Before I was making just above that and now its selling for well below.
Problem is, until those 30 merits come in on each of my toons that are working towards them I guess I'm going to be low on funds for a while.
And never shared what my niche was. :P know better than that. It was an easy 90mil every 2 days tho. And I run 5 tips almost everyday on 2 toons. Getting tips to drop is fast red side and running the missions with incarnates doesnt take too long. Maybe 30 minutes for all 5. Hour for both toons. Not a bad days work.
Depending on the popularity of the particular item you used as your niche, the item may recover. It could take a few months, but it might.
Using 45m/day as your benchmark, you could find a niche within pretty much any popular set. Crafting uncommon recipes, like Doctored Wounds, Thunderstrikes, Multi-Strikes and Crushing Impact could earn you that. A cursory look shows me that some of these can be either crafted and resold, or even just flipped for up to a 10m per IO profit. Buy a stack of 10, craft and sell them, and you're doubling your daily benchmark.

How do I go about making more money for my toons?
I had a niche in the market but someone went and messed it up by selling for about 2/3rds the price i was. Just checked and prices are still in that range weeks later. Dont think prices are going to go back to where they once were. >_>
LotG are consistant but at the rate of 2 A merits for one I would end up making more just saving those A merits for Glad armor 3% def. Which is exactly what I'm doing. Problem is its a slow process and I do have the patience but I'm running out of funds atm.
I do have a ss/fire brute but lets just say after getting 2 sets of purples on him that I dont want to set foot in another AE for a good while.
Also saving incarnate merits on my main since its fully T4'd in all slots but the rate of picking those up is inconsistent since you need a league for those and can't always get one going.
Any other ways to make inf that I'm missing? Preferably something that can be done solo.
