NPC costumes gone from the Market?

I never saw any indication that the NPC costumes were a limited-time offer. They have been in the market since the beginning, but they've suddenly vanished. If I had known these were a limited time offer I would have snatched up several. But because I thought I had as much time as I needed to decide, I haven't bought any. This was part of the reason I bought extra Paragon Points.

Thanks for the link. A lot of people seem to think Halloween has something to do with it, others suspect high pricing or PvP concerns (???). I'm not going to speculate either way, but I will say that I thought the prices were fine. Using those permanent NPC costumes, I had plans to create a Hellion demon summoner (who managed to summon minor demons after Matthew Habashy's final mission despite your hero's success), a PPD officer, and a member of the Skulls who had split off from the Petrovic brothers to form a new Skulls faction ruled by an entity in the Nether World. With this last idea I was thinking about creating a villain group of players who also bought the Skulls NPC costume. Of course I could still create these characters, but it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying.

I suspect it was the fact that there were bugs with the costumes. If my dragonoid guy with the moving reptile tail uses the Paragon Police costume his tail is still visible flicking back and forth behind this cop.

Kind of looks strange seeing that tail sticking out that way. So if I had to guess and I am, there are other costume parts that also were breaking the costumes.

I think there may have been other problems that weren't quite as obvious. For instance none of the known female temp costume powers were available in the store. It was striking me funny that those specific gender based options were missing. Also people noticed that when they sold the Ghost Pirate costume a couple of weeks ago the text for it was still showing it to be the "two week temporary" Halloween version.

My guess is that they've decided to take them off-line to fix all of these various problems more completely.
