Opacity Resetting Issue
Every time I zone, my opacity resets to 53%, which is a headache inducing state. It makes me not want to play the game, especially if I'm doing a round of crafting which has me zoning repeatedly. I sent a bug report when it started (with i21) and was informed that it was being worked on, but... still with the headaches. I want to play the game, but lots of other possibilities are out there that don't give me layers of see-through screens to sort through.
As a temporary fix, how about making the default opacity setting 100%? The dim feature seems to work fine, so that would be an option for fans of the see-through interface. |
Actually, it's been noted before that the dim features in the "general" options tab seem to interfere with the opacity setting in the "graphics" tab. If you don't want your window opacity constantly resetting, you need to disable the dim features and set your opacity to the point you prefer.

My opacity keeps resettting too, but when I checked the Dim settings, they were all disabled. And yes, the opacity constantly resetting to 53% is driving me nuts.

Workaround doesn't work. I can reset the window colors as much as I want, whether using sliders or /window_color, but it always resets back to 53% when I zone. Interestingly, it seems to be a character-specific issue. Some of my characters have the bug, others don't.
Wondering if reinstalling the game might work?
Try this first...set opacity the way you want it. Pull down 'options' from menu and click 'apply' then click 'save to file ' on far right. This helped stop my toggles from dropping when I'd zone.
