Personally i find the fast spawning enemies a boon. I just throw down a little cash, hit level 2, buy/immediately use about 10 of each inspiration, and run over to the hellion area with 4 purples still in my tray and unleash some low level hero heck. Use purples to mitigate streaks.
Boom suddenly 2-3 minutes later I'm level 4 and I've single handedly destroyed an entire contingent of hellions . Only thing I forgot to do was tell them "Get off my lawn."
