Crab Build for Critique
This is what I came up with.
Now I do not know if your aware those IOs are very, very expensive. But I am assuming you do.
I have a similar build range cap, Hover, no purple IOs and call reinforcement pets are 14 seconds off perma. But it does have the PPP pet also which is something you don't have. I reworked that build your IO price range. You get Perma pets including PPP pet.
You can swap out 4 IOs from Fortification and place them in Serum like you have in your build. Both offer that 5% recharge bonus.
Your over the rule of 5 for 10% Regeneration, but not a bad loss for what you gain.
I went with hover because your pretty much relegating yourself to staying away from mobs. Just does not make sense spending all this money on a build and they trying to dance around mobs and trying to keep them away from you.
If you want super speed swap out venom grenade put a stealth IO proc in it 2 slots of zephyr and remove the PvP Gladiator Armor IO saving yourself 2 billion. You have 1 slot left over. You loose 1 attack. 2 billion or 1 attack your choice.

I plan on going the tips route for the Glad Armor and have a nest egg for the rest of the build, so I should be able to afford it. This will end up one of my most expensive characters, but I figure that a Crab build would be worth the investment. I'm still going cheap where I think I can get away with it (e.g. no Panaceas), but I'm not afraid to pull the trigger on a good IO set.
Had been thinking about two things that were missing: Patron pets and Aim. You snuck in the pet, so I'll have a look at this and see what I can do about fitting in the rest while maintaining my goal. I kind of liked 32.5%+ to Melee & AOE, which put me one small purp from softcap to those, but maybe that's not so necessary, especially if I go to Hover.

What I started doing is I would summon the pets hover up and then start my attack. The pets pretty much kill anything that comes at me.
Eventually I went Musculature, ION, Barrier and of course Arachnos incarnate pet. I have the T3 pet currently and I'm working on the T4. The barrier wasn't for me but for the pets. It helps out a lot all around. Now I am doing 4/8 settings with the pets.. Very good.
My point is the Crab gets more pets and has more AOE attacks then Huntsman. Plus a hovering crab is really spooky.
The only benefit is the Huntsman can obtain a few numbers easier then the crab build can. Meaning perma pets and defenses. Having double maneuvers and Tactics or assault ( forget atm ) is not bad. The DPS output is very high for the Huntsman. What they lack in attacks they surely make up with DPS.
I think the Crab will do very well also.
Personally looking back I think dropping venom for super speed will be helpful because it will allow you to hover stealth with super speed on or speed around missions to the end. Just 6 slot one of the positron IO attacks. And slot Serum the way you do instead of fortification. Serum is perma so it helps out there as well.
I'm going to mess around with the build but with non purples. I'm okay having a 14 second delay for one pet. I think it would be a pretty crazy build with all those pets..
Give a mastermind a run for his money.

Here is where I'm at now. Still no Aim, but I've got the full set of pets to work with. Wide Area Web Grenade and Frag Grenade have been replaced by Web Envelope and Disruptor Blast. The Leadership toggle had to go, too. Melee & AOE Defense drop to 31%, but I'm willing to eat the risk there. Tempted to go Hover+Flight instead of CJ+SS, but for now I'm sticking with the stealth option.

Final Build!
Dropped the Glad Armor (I plan to run Barrier and it wouldn't be needed), shuffled my -KB, added a Kismet 6%, dropped the Achilles' Heel proc, and added a Force Feedback proc to Disruptor Blast.

- That style build is better served with hover.
- Rebirth would likely server you better than Barrier.
- It's less "thematic" but Mu with Mu Fences, Mu Ball, Mu Pet would almost certainly give you better DPA and DPS.
- I would proc for damage over Force Feedback.
- Then swap the last pet set and use some enhancement boosters.
- Lastly, your personal accuracy may not be that bad, but your pets need help if you plan on hunting +4s. You really want some form of tactics.
Without making wholesale changes and building from the ground up, this is how I'd do it if my goals were what your goals appeared to be. I sacrificed SS, and swapped a few minor things around. I'd use door stacking of stealth procs for 90% of my stealth needs, for the rest I'd pickup a PvP stealth power (limited use, limited number of times you can aquire one) and use the latter VERY sparingly. Door stacking can give you 120 seconds of stealth at the start of every mission. More than enough to stealth most missions that can be stealthed.

This new forum software won't let me stay logged in or edit anything.
Anyway, If I was going to change the build more, I'd work in more ranged defense to softcap without Barrier, so I could use rebirth instead. something like the following.
my apologies for not being able to append this to the above post.

Who knows where I'd go from here. I love the pets, but haven't really found them good enough to build an entire build around, nor to make entirely perma. IF we could control them better, and get the recharge down to half their duration, then I'd be sold. As is, it's more of a love/hate relationship with me.
This is what build I use on my crab. I also have T4'd incarnates on Musculature Alpha, Ion Judgement, Barrier Destiny, Reactive Interface, and Arachnos Lore. He's fun to play, can handle anything I throw at him and can even stealth missions if I'm in a hurry.

I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other.
Yeah, my Crab is deff the most expensive toon i have. Main build is Team orientated and is worth about 25Bill with it's 4 Purple and 4 PvP sets.
I have no issues running anything, and even without pets i can solo the north door in BAF with relative ease. I have 14 T4 Incarnate powers, meaning i can switch up to better assist the team. Never heard "No, you can not join this Mo run. " :::
Also working on a Pet and Bane build, figuring this toon's 3 Build will be a combined 60-80Bill.

I just started working up a Crab and I want to make sure I get it right. I'm new to VEATs, so I'm not sure if I picked up any "do not need" powers or left out any "you must have" powers. Goals were: perma-hasten, perma-pets, softcapped ranged defense, and Musculature Alpha. I hit my goals, but if there is a way to do this more efficiently, I'd appreciate the help.
