Fire/Traps build feedback
Here's my i19 build.
I haven't bothered to actually do it in-game, I've retired her and don't feel like spending the 4 billion for the PvP IO I'd rather use elsewhere.
I'd rather just roll it as Traps/Fire and save billions on the cost of the build.

Here is yet another build to compare and contrast - my fire/traps corruptor is L50, is at 50% smashing/lethal def and just shy of the sofcap in energy def ( 44.5% - which is VERY usefull in trials, since the dev's just LOOVE energy damage in trials). I went with the cardiac alpha, since i run a ton of toggles and despite everyone who claims traps is easy on the end bar, when you are double or triple stacking acid mortar and throwing out Rain of Fire whenever its up, you burn a lot of end. Scorpion shield + FFG + maneuvers puts you well over the S/L softcap without anything extra, and gives you nearly as much energy def so I pretty much slotted for recharge bonuses.
I have played him in a lot of end game content - incarnate trials (t3 in all powers), LRSF and STF (Master badge for both) and all other high level TF's and he pretty much rocks.
This build is not all that expensive - I almost never slot purples and all the really expensive IO's (LoTG +recharge, the Numina and Miracle Uniques) can be obtained via hero/villain merits fairly easily.

Nice build Linea, you softcapped everything, my build has s/l at about 47% and 44.7% energy (might've changed from what I posted, I changed somethings) and i think 33% ranged which is good enough for me (can't check now, on Mac OS X) but I like lots of recharge for Traps. Also you cheated with the glad IO! (j/k lol, but I'll never get it on any toon, I suppose you can get it in one month doing tips right? I actually don't know how to get IOs with tips, haven't messed with them since I returned, I don't even know where to exchange them for IOs - I'd love if you tell me btw)
Eric I like your build, do you think Triage+the regen you have makes up for the lack of Aid Self? I'm too used to Aid Self on my trapper. Btw, isn't Vengeance unnafected by recharge IOs? I know Mid's says otherwise but I was told it's only affected by global set bonuses.
Why not go Traps/Fire, softcap to all vectors and types, get a resist shield, Possibly get Force of Nature too, and do it for cheaper?
Oh against a single target your will outdamage a corruptor, and always be safer due to the superior -damage/-to hit debuffs/-rech/-movement debuffs that a defender offers.

Also, don't know if you saw but I was told by someone and checked mid's... Defenders get an AT-modified RoF (83 dmg according to mids, against 126 Blaster/Corr, and Corr has scourge), unlike Ice Storm.
That's why I slotted Caltrops 2 slow IOs, I have shift+click bound to caltrops and ctrl+click bound to RoF.
But that may be a good idea since I just rerolled my Beam/Poison into Beam/Traps, I'll see what I can do with the defender version. Poison is nice but the debuffs recharge too fast and I felt it was a bit bothersome to use with Beam.
I only play 2-3 hours twice a week, so that PvP +3 takes about 35 weeks on A-Merits. That's why I said I'd rather roll it as Traps/Fire now that i21 is out.

So I have a 49 (me thinks) Fire/Traps I haven't played in a loooong time, she still has all the procs in PGT when it was broken and no inherent Stamina.
I've been wanting to respec her into the 'modern game' because I love her, and I think now I can move on from when I got tired of her (or broken hearted when the proc-nuke from PGT didn't work anymore lol)
So I need some feedback please since my live build is vastly different, it has stealth and other things I don't need anymore. I just put up a build and would like to know what you guys think. I'm undecided on maybe getting Tactics instead of Aim, but I think I'll stick with Aim. Well any feedback would be great.
