As far as I know, that's just a quirk with the way the flight power works. Angling the camera up or down makes your character ascend and descend. It's been that way for as long as I can remember, and it's always annoyed the hell out of me, but I don't know of any way to change it.
To this 4/4 beat, I'm in time with you. To this 4/4 beat, I would die for you. Your lovesick melody is going to get the best of me tonight, but you won't get to me 'cause I won't sing.
Not so much looking around, but if you want to look at the ground while flying forward, like if you were searching for something, then angle yourself full down and use the spacebar to fly up, which is now sideways. You'll be looking down and flying horizontally.
Do you still ascend/descend if you hold down the Page Up key, while right-click dragging? (note: Page Down to reset view)
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
I often use the middle mouse button to look around while I'm running around, to check the sky/behind me/beside me/etc.
I got flight power and when I'm flying I tried to do the same. I can look from side to side just fine, but if I look up or down (holding middle mouse only), my toon flies up/down....which is obviously unwanted.
Is there an option I'm missing? I have "Look up and down" set to "Free look" if that makes a difference.
