Lore and some game history questions

Hi everybody recently I've been going through old info about the game and some things and questions have been gnawing at the back of my head after reading things about them. So here goes!

-Nemesis Jaegers and Wahulks.
I read from some posts that Jaegers are apparently not robots? And that Warhulks are meant to be a form of punishment? Can anyone elaborate further on those two?

-Thugs
Apparently there was an enemy group called Thugs ingame a long time ago. Where could these guys be found back then? Did they have the same powers like the ordinary gangs? i.e Hellions and Skulls? Why were they removed? And finally..Anyone have pics of them?

Thanks in advance all! Just wanted to try and silence those two questions from the back of my head hehe.

Jaegers are robots. Warhulks have people inside them. There is one instance in the lore of this being done to someone against their will -- "Scout", in the Numina TF. There is also at least one instance of someone requesting to be put inside a Warhulk, a "Lance Sergeant Lemleigh" in the arc "Mass Duplicity".

There are "Thug" Mastermind pets, those are the only ones I know of.

Expanding on this slightly, it's possible to use Mastermind pets as AE enemies (or at least, it was...not sure if they were removed completely after their XP values were deemed exploitable or if those values were just fixed), so if you were running missions there, you may have seen them as enemies.

For that matter, though, AE enemies can be parts of custom groups with a large variety of names, so that might explain it as well. But there's no default enemy group by that name.

You can use Mastermind pets as allies and such, and you can use the boss-class ones as "fight a boss" details although I believe they don't give XP....at least they didn't last time I checked many many moons ago. None of the "pet" class critters did. But that was a long time ago so it may have changed. Of course you can't use Lieutenant or Minion class pets as "boss" details because you can't use any Lieutenant or Minion class standard critters as "boss" details despite it being done in dev-created arcs (Old peeve. No, I'm not going to drop it.) Last I checked you still couldn't use pets in custom groups.
