Elec/Earth

I want to try a dominator, and these are two power sets that really appeal to me for a concept. A power armored villain, with an electrical combat array and enhanced strength.

But I dunno what pool powers to take.

Hasten is a given. Not sure about a travel power though. I'd like flight so I can hover ominously, but I know it's not something good for combat.

I also don't know what patron pool to take. Elec matches the primary, but Mace has Scorpion Shield and Personal Force Field (Because if you haven't cackled madly at someone as they flailed against your impenetrable armor, you have not lived).

So, any suggestions?

I'd say Hasten+SS+CJ since you have a bunch of PbAoEs and being in melee range will be a big part of your gameplay. If you want flight, take flight. You will have to detoggle it to use powers such as Tremor and Fissure though.

As for patrons, I find them all useful. However, Scorpion Shield is usually the best choice for easy defense cap while still mantaining high recharge for permadom.

the fighting pool actually helps a bit with this set. CJ and Hasten are a must imo for the movement and rech of your powers.
Mine is currently level 28 and it's a fun set to play overall. Hit's hard and has some aoe potential that is slow activating, but not too shabby.

As far as patron, Scorp looks good. Remember if you have decent to good D and Power Boost commin up half the time you have some serious benefits to your D too. I've also played with ice mastery and Psi mastery with mids and have come up with some really nice possibilities with each. Ice mastery will give you decent D with a heal/HP incr and good aoe choices. Psi mastery will give you decent resist and very nice D (capped nrg/neg and almost capped S/L/Psi with a 3 second downtime) and a confuse to stack with your other confuse.

I find nothing is better than Mu mastery for electric control. Power Sink, Ball Lightening, and Guardian will all do wonders for your ability to sap enemies.
