So, Whats YOUR fav AT & Powerset?
Favourite ATs: Corruptor, dominator, controller, brute. In that order.
Not really sure if I have a favourite powerset, but my dark/dark corruptor is my favourite character.

1: Stalker
2: Controller
3: Mastermind
No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.
Scrapper - Broadsword/Dark Armor is my #1 favorite, just barely edging Claws/Regen for the honor. I still love my main Claws/Regen, but I have a lot more time and energy invested in the BS/DA, with much better return. Plus, he just rocks.
Blaster - Sonic/Devices. Marshall Stack is still the most fun blaster I've ever played. I have a Fire/Fire at 50 as well, but he's only level 50 on principle.
Brute - Tough call, I have more brutes than anything else at the moment. I like my DM/SR, but I'm really enjoying my Electric/Willpower as well. Maybe after the changes it'll be the SS/EA I just started up.
Now, my favorite scrapper MIGHT change, depending on how well done Street Justice is. If it's a good set my SJ/WP (or maybe Invuln) scrapper could very well end up being my favorite. Because it'll be "me".

Hehe, nah... That's basically the only slot we can't fill with an electric powerset yet.
I haven't made one yet, but I always figure that Kinetics would be my choice for faking an Electric Buff set. Obviously Storm has some lightning, but it's also got the snow which doesn't fit so well for me... Anyway... It's nice to see so many Electric lovers! I've been meaning to make an RP'd all Electric Super Team over on Virtue. Any AT, all Electric Powers... Zap Zap!! |
Yeah I took a break for a couple of months and did the research before I came back and definitely would have noticed anything electric on the buff side.
Oh and hey, an all electric team ROCKS! I have done it several times over on Justice but haven't ran one lately. Would be fun to do a league and get into a trial with as many AT's as we could that had electric. I wonder how we would fair? Only been in one of the newer TF's/Trials and that was the BAF with an 8 man team.
Looking forward to it though. I also have TA at 43 as a blaster on Virtue if you wanna run anytime. Hit me up. @Thor's Assassin

I always felt like I made the perfect choices for myself when I made my very first character, and as a result have spent 80-90% of my 6 years in game on my Gravity/Radiation controller.
My Bots/Traps MM is the only other character I've made that really gave me that feeling of awesome again.
Other combos tried:
Mastermind - Necromancy / Dark Miasma
Scrapper - Martial Arts / Super Reflexes
Mastermind - Demon Summoning / Pain Domination (Deleted)
Scrapper - Dual Swords / Fire Aura (Deleted)
Blaster - Dual Pistols / Psychic Manipulation (Deleted)
Without doubt scrappers are my favorite AT by far to play. I really enjoy my Katana/Inv.
My Thug/Dark is my favorite villain to play. Stone Melee/WP and DM/DA are my second favorite villain combos.
Fave AT is Controller.
Fave powerset is Storm Summoning.
Fave character builds:
Illusion/Storm controller.
Earth/Storm controller.
Fire/Storm controller.
SS/SR brute.
SS/EA brute.
Plant/Storm controller.
Fire/Energy dominator.
Earth/Fire dominator.
Storm/Energy defender.
Gravity/Fire dominator.
Probably in that order.

Scrappers are hands down my fave AT, and I've tried almost every powerset except spines.
I've tried tanks, but never really got into them- not enough damage, and the responsibility for keeping the rest of the team alive always made me nervous. The whole responsibility thing is why I never really got into defenders either.

I vacillate between 3 favorites:
SS/Shield Brute
Mind/Fire Dom
Fire/Kin Corr
Wow, even though I play blueside, all my favorite ATs are from redside. How did I not notice that before now?
Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.
I know it's going to be harder to slot and I might get into some trouble because I'm not planning on taking dwarf, but it's a lot of fun, and looking at the information out there (if you get past the doom'n'gloom from some people) it's going to be a lot more fun.
Plus I like having voids. Yeah, they can stun me, but I like having the world react to me in ways like that. Plus it's more of a challenge - me or him - and I usually win, so far.
My favorite used to be Masterminds. My Ninjas/Dark MM was my first 50 and I felt like he was unstoppable.
More recently MMs have taken a backseat to my second love, the Scrapper. My Katana/SR Scrap was my second 50 and he feels even more unstoppable than my MM.
It is hard for me NOT to like any corruptor I have tried.
Always been partial to Defenders, and I suppose Corruptors as well by relation.
Storm Summoning would have to be a personal favorite.

Anything that makes it to level 50 is my favorite!
I have ... 26? I think? 50's. I love them all! Honestly, I think that says really great things about the powersets available - there are just SO many that are really wonderful!
Scrappers and Corrs.
Dual Pistols and almost every powerset for Scrappers except Broadsword.
I wanted Dual Pistols since I picked up CoH, so that's just a given. Hopefully Time Manipulation lets me get the concept I want with it ^_^

The BrandX Collection
Favourites, huh? I can do that
Scrappers: These are what I started playing first, I have multiples of... I think every set, and this is just a cool AT. Scrappers are insanely dangerous, yet very casual AT. Their damage is scary, yet it doesn't take much work to get the Scrapper to deal damage. These are my characters who are defined by being dangerous first and foremost.
Brutes: These were my "Stalkers for villains." They're very solid fighters with a feel of invincibility and more than enough offence to be a threat, but they're slow to start and difficult to keep going. A lot of work, as it were. Brutes are my characters who are defined by being incredibly hard to kill first and foremost, while being dangerous only if you keep trying and failing to kill them.
Stalkers: I know the AT is... Kind of bad. In fact, I had a "few" ideas for things we could do to help them. However, I still love my Stalkers. They're INSANELY dangerous if I play my cards right and they're still very solid in a scrap. It's everything a growing boy needs Stalkers are my characters who are decent fighters but prefer to get the upper hand on their enemies and are less likely to run in yelling "Believe it!"
Masterminds: These have been a favourite of mine since CoV Beta. The sheer, raw power of a Mastermind played right is truly a sight to behold, and I've gotten out of more ridiculous crap with my Masterminds than any other character. The set is held back by the almost complete lack of henchmen controls embedded in the system, but I'm one of the original people who worked on designs for binds in the beginning, so I have a very solid system to control my own henchmen. It's easy to move and direct them, have them pick targets, avoid Burn patches, disengage from fights and so no. A Mastermind in control of his henchmen is a force of nature!
