What happens to my toons on the beta server?

It is possible that they may do a wipe on the Beta server at any time.
They have already done one wipe that I can recall for certain, and there could have been others that I just didn't notice.
You can transfer characters from the Live servers to either Test or Beta, but not from Beta or Test to Live.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

In particular, they just did a wipe on beta this morning.
[edit: if beta is like the normal test server, then my first question is answered in the faq at the top of this forum. Sneaky them hiding that right at the top of the forum, stickied and all. :]
I've never gotten on the beta server, but I'm dying to make a nin/ice stalker.
Is it just like any other server, my toon will be there forever, like a normal server?
And can I use a server transfer once i21 is out and move that toon to a regular server?
[if there's just a faq, point me to that. I wasn't able to find one easily]
