Friends list request

I feel a notes section feature in the "friends" list would be helpful. This is the only way I remember folks who wish to team, raid, play evenings, etc... Anyone else think this improvement would help them?

We already have a Player note system, although it's not connected to the friends list. Which in my opinion makes it more useful, as you can make notes about non-friends and ignored people. To use it, right click on the person/person's name in chat and select Edit Note. This brings up a dialog box where you can write the note and rate the player 1-5 stars. This note is dealt with on a global level, so you can check the note even when the player is on a different character.

I hope I got the details right of using the system, I'm sure someone will point it out if I got it wrong.

By the way, this topic is probably better off in the Suggestions and Ideas forum in the For Fun section.

Being able to see notes on friends/ignored would be useful. But still be able to make/keep notes on non-friends is more useful.

Thank you for the info. I had no idea about a "for fun" section. I like the idea of "stars", but I still wish they were linked with friends list. I'll have to actually see what your talking about to make an educated post. Again, Thank you

I believe it is, in that you can right-click on a friend on your list and access the functionality described above.

Note: sometimes you need to enable the ability to see the stars ratings (over a player character's head) under:

Menu-->Options>General tab-->Reticle-->Player Rating = Show Always.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

Here is something that I have been asking for for years - why can we not have a 'time away' counter for our Global Friends list, similar to the Supergroup list. This just seems like something that would make sense, and I am surprised no one else has ever taken this to task.

While not in game, you *can.* The file playernotes.txt in your COH directory holds all the info.
