Ola.

I'm not sure if this is already available - if it is I've never ever spotted it.

So, what I'm suggesting is pretty much a notification system (pretty much like facebook). It would be a simple feature, an icon that would notify you of the following:

- When someone mentions your global.
- When someone quotes you.
- When someone replies on a thread of your interest (not sure if there's already a "watch thread" feature).
- When someone PMs you.
- and whatever other options that might be of interest. Actually there could be an option to configure your own preferences (ie: notify only when someone quotes you).

I just find this easier than refreshing and sailing through all the sections and subsections until I get to the thread I'm interested in.

If there's a similar system already, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me how it works.

Ty,

For keeping track of threads, try looking under the drop down at the top of the page named "Thread Tools". You can subscribe to the thread there.

For PMs, try looking in your User CP (All the way at the top of the page)>Edit Options. It has a few things that you may find useful.

And if you're interested in what people say about you, you can always search, with your name or global as the search term. I don't think there'd be a way to automatically have the forum do this (quote/reply, sure, but notify you on your name is... less likely. Not to mention all the permutations of names - I rarely see, for instance, Memphis_Bill. Memphis, MB, M_B, M_Bill, Bill, etc, sure - so that trigger wouldn't really do anything for me.)
