Recipe Storage Bins for our Bases?

I am hoping that COH:Freedom will bring with it the addition of 100-recipe storage bins and the extension of individual recipe storage for our characters.

It seems a bit odd that we do not already have access to recipe storage bins and are forced to overload them on our characters, alts, auction slots, and e-mail.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

I believe the lack of recipe storage is a way to ensure a steady supply on the Market. You sell what you can't keep and buy what you need. Let people hoard recipes, though, and the market slows down, and slows down hard.

You've heard about email right?

At this point there is absolutely no reason to prevent bases having extra storage other than it might reduce the numbers of people that buy extra slots from the Paragon Market.

Unless there are 500 of the recipe on with nobody bidding, in which case you vendor it. Or just delete it.

And as for buying what you need - I rarely use the market, between AE tickets, drops, A-merits (and if I could be bothered, Empyrian and Astral merits.) Not to mention trading. I mention that (say) Pneumatic Pistons are overpriced, and within seconds I have one showing up in my email. Friend working on something? I'll send recipes and salvage to them. Not to mention crafting and storing IOs - one step away from storing recipes - and, as mentioned, email. (And storing in the market interface itself.)

So you'll excuse me if I don't buy the market argument. (Or, frankly, have any sympathy for market conditions.)

I should add that personally I have never run out of Recipe storage space.

The reason for that is because my SG's Auto Doc is a multi-millionaire who buys any recipe I don't want. I think he gives them to Third World countries or something. He's one great robot our Auto Doc.

You've know that players are lazy right? Every time Email gets brought up Players start complaining that it's too much effort to use email to store recipes.

So the devs plan to encourage players to sell/craft their recipes rather than hoard them is still working even tho we can easily store recipes using Emails.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't like some recipe storage in bases.

Yes. Which is why Base Storage won't effect the market because lazy players will just fill it up. At which point it becomes useless.

*looks embarrassedly at Personal Vault Storage*

I'll excuse you for being needlessly snarky. What, pray tell, did you think this unnecessary low-brow putdown would accomplish? Even if I agreed with the rest of your post (and I kind of do), why do you feel the need to treat me like this? Would it have killed you to stick to the point?

The devs could really limit us if they wanted to. They could set the storage amount very low and they could also limit the number of recipe bins allowed per base. Like how we can only have 1 Personal Vault Storage.

Put down? At what point is there a putdown in there, Sam?

I said:
(A) I don't really buy the market argument - that's a statement, not a putdown, and
(b) I have no sympathy for market conditions. Which I don't. But that's also not a putdown. It's a statement on the market and some of the ridiculous stuff that goes on there.

That's all directly related to the point, and none of it is directed at you at all. I know English isn't your first language - you don't hide it - and you normally seem to get what's being said better than some native speakers I can think of. So why you think any of that is directed at you OR a put down, I'm not sure.
