Decimation: Chance for Hold and Lightning Storm
If you're */DP, I'd suggest putting the proc in Supressive fire so that it's hold stacks and you can one-shot-hold a boss.
As for Lightning Storm, it SHOULD work as normal and have a chance to hold with each blast. I have a Chance to Stun in Voltaic Sentinel (Another psuedo-pet) and it seems to stun foes just fine.
-STEELE =)
Allied to all sides so that no matter what, I'll come out on top!
Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)
It works as expected in LS and will have a chance to fire on every enemy hit by the Lightning Strike (that's up to 5 enemies). Each enemy will have a seperate check, so if the Strike hits 5 enemies it could hold anywhere from 0 to 5 of them.
It is also worth noting, that unlike some procs in LS (damage procs say), there is no chance to hold you when you summon LS, so slot the proc, and enjoy!
It's especially nice that the proc has the tesla cage effect and thus fits thematically.

It's good to know that it's working right. Being able to drop a little more control onto the field sounds like it could be useful, especially since I'm already using another part of the set for frankenslotting, so I basically get a free 12% regen.

The Decimation Proc is a chance for build up.

Yes, you are reading that correctly. I have not tested recently to see if they have finally fixed this, but this has been a long standing bug with LS and damage procs. If it is no longer true, I will be very happy, but I'm not getting my hopes up. The damage is minimal though, and is still worth slotting the damage procs in my opinion.

After testing this for a bit, I'm finding that not only does this proc work, it works quite well. It typically keeps enough guys out of the fight that I've bumped my difficulty up to take better advantage of it.

The Chance to Hold proc in LS is second (in my book) only to putting it in Acid Mortar in the Traps set as the most useful use of a proc in the game. I say second because:
- With Acid Mortar you can pair it with the Lockdown proc placed in Poison Trap and have the capability to hold the majority of a spawn immediately.
- LS already has some mitigation in the form of knockdown so the hold isn't quite as useful as Acid Mortar
Still, one of the best uses of a proc in the game.

I'm just starting to work on IOing out my Storm/DP defender, and noticed that Lightning Storm takes single target blast sets. Since I have a Decimation: Chance for hold in one of MY SG bins, I was thinking of slotting it there, since it would make for another level of protection.
However, I know that the use of procs in pet powers can sometimes be a bit strange, so I figured I'd ask: Does this work as you would expect where the lightning storm's attacks get a chance to hold added or do they just do nothing or worse?
