The ballad of Boxer Burns

When you and a friend are running away from a bear, you don't need to run faster than the bear, you just need to run faster than your friend.
I'm still sitting where I was. 10 IOs for sell, none sold. Things I learned from this,
1 people way overbid. If its is selling at 10 mill, most likely the ones getting the sells are pricing thiers at around 6 million. So pricing yours at around 8 or 9 million will just have them sitting there. |
When selling things on the Market, you don't need to list for less than the bidders, you need to list for less than the lowest seller.
Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
I've moved on to Diablo 3, TopDoc-1304
Go to the brute forums, and check out the threads on low-level farming (There's one by Neogumbercules and one titled "Cebr" by TopDoc). Alternately, you can use your fire/fire tank in a classic fire ambush farm.
@Roderick
Back in the day when I checked the market forum maybe once a year, the best advice I picked up was using a signature. A signature is something like a two digit number that you use for any item you put up for sale. Let's say you pick 85 because you were born in 1985. When you see something being bought for 5 mil you don't list yours at 5 mil since somebody pretty much will always undercut you. You list it for something like 4,999,985. Suddenly things that sat and sat started to sell for me.
1. The real game in the market is in figuring out how to sell things in relationship to your competitors. Buying is SO much easier than selling.
2. Yep, good observation.
3. Not enough data for me to judge. I'm sure you'll end up doing just fine!
Ooh, a sarcasm detector. Oh, that's a *real* useful invention. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...t-sarcasm.html
