Just so you know: Tri Form Warshades can solo level 51 Arch Villains in normal content.

I think you should give AVs a shot. It just seems like the next step. Or did you skip a step?

Are Rikti Pylons considered to be a greater challenge than AVs?
I skipped it, basically. The time it takes to down a Rikti Pylon is used as a metric for your DPS, so I felt it would be best to go for a Pylon instead of hunting for AV's.

The person who these pictures belong to is a Warshade named AIB. He's asked for my help with posting them... I have his build but would not post it without his permission.

AIB also soloed a pylon- The pictures are in the post I made before the AV he soloed without lore pets.

Tempting...one of the biggest problems is the Extracted Essences will occassionally go in for MELEE!!! ??? I think their A.I. needs to be tweaked, but, not as badly as Photon Seekers .

Up to this point I've only given my build to a few people.

The reasons...

1. AIB is still a work in progress. As I told CMDR Ops (Grill) last night, "We are all works in progress...at least until we get the Omega Slot ."

2. I don't want to spend alot of time crafting an apology (in the classic sense of the word) for my build.

3. I have been afraid of a certain bat being swung in my (OUR) direction. But, based upon the discussions I have read within the community, I don't think it is going to happen.

So sure...TwoHeadedBoy can post it (and while you are at it you can post my TriForm PB's build as well). Put it under two different posts if you will.

Thanks

Someone who has a better understanding of game statistics should weigh in here...(Microcosm for instance).

Here are some things that I am wondering...

Do Rikti Pylons have more HPs than AVs?

Do Rikti Pylons reheal more HPPS than AVs?

If AVs have more HPs...Are you going to be able to have your 2 Offensive Warworks out long enough to bring an AV down (Are they on a 5 minute timer???)?

This of course says nothing of the DPS the AVs put out.

Let me clarify, Rikti Pylons fire volleys several seconds apart. Sure they do alot of damage (if they hit you) but you are given plenty of time to react (heal yourself and heal your pets). I do not know whether or not they debuff you.

On the other hand, AVs often have debuffs. Additionally, they do large bursts of damage and then IMMEDIATELY follow it up with an additional attack or two. I think that that is going to make Soloing an AV more difficult for you than a Pylon.

I could be wrong. Give it a shot and let me know.

Very nice to see khelds tearing it up. I been trying the Rikti boss spawns in RWZ on my peacebringer lately.

I can softcap both my pets to everything, keep their HP bar full with ease, and make them immune to mezzes. Also, Lore pets do not only have a lot of HP(well, the boss pet does anyway), they also have a sufficient amount of resistance to everything. I'm not at all worried about what an AV can do offensively.

I'm not sure how an "average" AV stacks up against a Pylon in terms of HP and Regen. Pretty sure Pylons have more regen, though. How long did it take you to down that pylon? If it took you longer than it did for me then I shouldn't have any trouble soloing the AV's you soloed.

Not sure if you noticed the last batch of pictures I posted but he also soloed Chimera as a level 51 AV without Lore Pets. I hate to be a bummer, but it seems more like your Warworks soloed a Pylon while you buffed them.

So you're saying all his achievements with lore pets are not him soloing, and you were wrong to call it soloing? I wouldn't agree as they are still his powers, but that's something that's been discussed over and over in other threads.

I find it funny that all of a sudden you belittle his other achievements which you've started this thread for(soloing with lore pets), just to try and discredit mine.

I wasn't belittling any of his achievements- First of all it's not the same situation. He used one offensive lore pet. He also took all the aggro the AV's were dishing out to keep the pet alive instead of relying on his pet to survive which I'm assuming you would have to do. The one pet was used just to add some extra DPS and speed up the process- It wasn't something that was necessary to do what he did, which was proved.

So it's ok if he uses his powers alongside his lore pets, but it's not ok if I do it? Gotcha.

If lore pets aren't necessary, then don't use em. It's undoubtedly a better achievement if you don't use lore pets and I never said otherwise.

Have you not been paying attention? People said "it'd be cooler if you did it without the lore pets," So he said "k" and did it without Lore pets like a day later. There is a big difference between relying on the pets to achieve something and using them to speed up the process.

Speeding things up can often mean the difference between living and dying(especially if you're relying on insps), so there's no real difference in my book. I've also seen empaths solo AV's without any incarnate powers at all, so that argument doesn't really hold.

How long do your lore pets last???

5 minutes???

All lore pets have a "sufficient amount of resistance to everything?"

I don't know what you mean by sufficient amount. I assume you mean that you can heal your lore pets faster than any enemy can destroy them. In which case you should fight an AV. You also said they (lore pets) have a resistance to everything. Do they have resistance to S/L/E/N/F/C/T/Psi damage. In other words does every lore pet have a resistance to every form of damage?

AVs have various types of and levels of resistance to damage types and debuffs. In addition, they debuff you (in various ways depending upon the AV). I don't think Pylons have these nor do these things...if they do I suspect it is to a lesser extent.

My IDF Commander is out for only 3:20 seconds...I deploy him, then buff, then engage...I am out of the pylons range when I do this...So, since he is still on the screen when it was defeated it took me less than 3 minutes to destroy the pylon. I killed many of the AVs within this amount of time too which bodes well for when you go AV hunting.

Think about this for a moment. What if I were to use the same 2 T4 Warworks Lore Pets that you use....plus I had out 3 extracted essences when I started attacking a Pylon...How fast do you think it would go down then?

As long as you can keep your 2 Warworks pets alive, I am pretty sure you can take down AVs.

If you were using what I used...namely 1 IDF Commander and 1 Battle Orb (non-offensive) (pets not known for AV slayage) I trust that you would have a much more difficult time.

If I had to guess, I would guess I would still be faster due to the buffs and debuffs I provide.

That particular case is the point of this thread.

I'm sorry if I have been negating any of your accomplishments- I do not enjoy playing the empathy set, I can definitely admit that I'm naive when it comes to how hard it is to play a pure support character. Maybe it's very challenging to buff those Warworks while they go to town on a Pylon- I would imagine just as challenging as helping an inexperienced character/player do the same thing.

I was just trying to keep it in perspective in terms of the point of what we are discussing. As far as I know, it is unheard of for a tri-form Warshade to solo an AV. I remember a Human only shade posting a video recently, but he did it in AE with Elite Boss spawns arranged to his liking. AIB is able to do this in normal content, and without relying on lore pets.

If he needed the Lore pets, it might be less impressive, but he has proven that he doesn't. I feel like this is the first time a Warshade has done this (or at least done it and made it known publicly.) I consider it to be a huge achievement, and something absolutely worth sharing with the Kheldian community- Not something to be turned into a pissing contest.

Yep, shouldn't have gone off-topic too much. Much respect for beating an AV without pets, for sure.

I think the difference is, atleast in twoheaded boys thought process, is the Warshade in question was tanking, and dishing out enough damage to solo an AV, without lore pets, and with minimal usage of inspirations (if he used any at all) meaning if you take incarnate powers away completely, and any form of temp powers (as most of those are disabled in the different forms anyways) he could still solo AVs and down pylons.

An empathy on the other hand, especially a defender, would have a very hard time tackling both the aggro the AV/pylon in question would do, and dealing enough damage to kill said AV/pylon before said AV/pylon would kill it.

Thats probably the point thats trying to be made here.

Congrats on soloing Chimera without (lore?) pets...here is how I did it...

1. I used inspirations at the start of battle and then inspirs that dropped during battle.

2. I used the enemies (remember I was at +1 x8) to buff my damage so that I could overcome his regen.

3. In addition I summon Extracted Essences and they added to the DPS I dealt.

4. Barrier was great, my judgement nuke was great, t4 reactive was great along with my hero buff Call to Power.

I took several pictures throughout the battle...

Now...here is the thing...I see your picture...

And this is what I know, observe, wonder and desire...

1. Your empathy powers help to keep you alive.

2. You have mentioned your ability to debuff (as in the quotation above)...but...Rad blasting debuffs the enemies defense...so that it is easier to land the following attack(s). Rad Blasts do not have -regen.

3. How did you overcome the Regeneration rate of the AV? Specifically, what attack chain did you use to do it?

4. Did you use alot of red inspirations?

5. The AV was dying, and it appears that you decided to not use your Call to Power OR your Buildup Epic power buff as he was about to die. Were they unnecessary? Did they both just happen to recharge right when he died? Did you use those powers during the fight at all?

6. How long did this fight take you?

7. Here is the main question I have though...Did you use non lore pets in this fight? I see what I suspect to be, Shivans in the tray to the lower right?

You should make a video of yourself soloing an AV.

It would be far more impressive than the video with you and your Warworks on the Pylon.

An Emp/Rad defender soloing an AV, is, truly, FAR more impressive than a purpled out Warshade doing so. Unless you used pets...

You should be rewarded.

So, here is my offer.

Make a Video of you soloing Chimera (AV) again without any Pets (Lore or Non Lore) that are not native to your toon.

Post it and I will give you 500 million inf.

OR

Let me come to your server and team with you and watch you take down Chimera (AV) again as I snap pictures of the action.

And I will give you 500 million inf.

How does this sound? Because if you offered the deal to me I know I would take it.

This was purely a showing of damage, though it didn't start out that way. I started off attacking and staying alive using my Empathy powers, and then I simply out-ranged him or he bugged out so he stopped attacking. All this was with T3 Judgement and Reactive(T4 would have made it faster for sure), No pets of any kind, no red insps, no Call to Power, and no temp powers. I used my Judgement when it was up, PBU when it was up(except at the end), and Geas when it was up. My attack chain is Neutrino Bolt(slotted with a regular proc, purple proc, and -res proc)-Neutrino Bolt-Cosmic Burst(slotted with a regular proc). In that case I would say yours is still more impressive.

As for your offer, I would gladly take it but it took quite a while for me to get it down and I'm not sure I can reach the same situation of out-ranging/glitching him.

"Glitching" is such a funny thing... It seems sort of odd to me that you were able to do it pretty quickly (as you provided screens within a day of it being brought up) and yet when you're asked to do it again you bring up the "glitch" and basically step around the challenge. Sort of discrediting.

ESPECIALLY without red inspirations. I really just don't think it's possible for an Emp defender to do what you claim to be able to do without outside help from A.) Lore pets (which I have a creeping suspicion that you used for this) B.) Liberal inspiration usage or C.) Having one of your scrapper friends help you and quit before you took your screenshot.

I would like to think that I'm 110% wrong, and for you to make me eat my words. Unfortunately that point can't be reached without you full-on proving it, which works out nicely since as far as I'm aware AIB's offer still stands. You even stand to make a profit off of it.
