Client repeatedly crashing

My friend has issues with her client repeatedly crashing, both in game and at log-in. She recently got the game to play with myself and some friends, so I'm wondering is there anything we can look at settings wise to try and ease this before we go into the more involved technical support. Also, although I've done a quick search on both Google and through the forums if anyone else has had a similar problem or it's a known issue that I've missed a heads up would be greatly appreciated.

Can you point her at the "Asking for help on the forums" guide (Top Center image) in my sig?

The CoH Helper and HijackThis logs will help us give her an idea of what might be wrong.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Following your advice she ran the tool and passed the output text file on to me; so I have pasted it here. As the display driver was yellow, which I thought might be a sign of an issue I checked in with her but her drivers are up to date and were also updated recently. If there's anything in here you can notice that might causing issues I'd appreciate the help. I feel kind of bad as she spent the money to play with me and now effectively can't.

With the date for the video drivers showing as 01/01/0001 and the other drivers showing proper dates, it looks like the video driver installation is corrupted. Several people are reporting problems with the most current versions of the ATI drivers so I'm going to link the 11.2 version as that is one that seems to work for several. Here is the link to the Previous Drivers page for that card and OS combination.

My recommendation would be to reinstall the video drivers using the steps below:

Download and install Driver Sweeper but don't run it yet.

Download the 11.2 drivers but don't install them yet.

Go to the Control Panel's Programs and Features page and uninstall the ATI drivers and software for the video card.

Reboot the computer in Safe Mode. Cancel any Hardware Wizards that come up.

Run Driver Sweeper and have it remove the left-over traces of the ATI drivers.

Reboot the computer normally. Cancel any Hardware Wizards that come up.

Install the drivers that you downloaded previously.

-------

You can check to make sure that they are installed cleanly by running CoH Helper again and checking the date. I'd wager that the date for the video drivers will show correctly and also not be yellow.

EDIT: If the sound card drivers had been showing the date in the same format I wouldn't suspect corrupted drivers but rather that the date format is not set for MM/DD/YYYY format or something is set to a non-US setting.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
