no XP from hero in villain cape mission?

Been ages since I ran it. Are we talking the lack of exp from Overdrive? Is Overdrive separate from the hero you defeat to get the cape?

The best I can read it is the completion bonus might include the reward for killing the hero. I agree it looks off.
If I remember correctly, on the redside, you would sometimes get the mission completion reward after you exit the mission. I think that the cape mission is one of those missions.
