Request for help/inspiration

I think ive finally settled on a concept for the Elec/earth Dom I'm planning, and I wanted to come here for some inspiration for the costume. The only thing I could think of to make the concept work is a Circle of Thorns Mage. Perhaps a higher up Mage, looking closer to the bosses than the Lt. Mages. Only problem is, there's no "skirts" that would seem to fit the concept... or is there?

Do any of you out there have any good costumes of CoT Mages? Or think you could put one together to help a creatively challenged individual like myself? You have my eternal gratitude if so!

I've got access to most of the packs (magic, ninja, cyborg,)

Short of a (female) skirt or (male) kilt, not yet.

If you don't mind waiting 'til I21 for a "definitive" costume, though, I believe PCGamer's article mentioned getting the new COT pieces, though. (See thread here.)

If you don't necessarily want to be COT, however, but just magic of some sort - well, it opens things up a bit.

Thanks, Bill! I like the look of that toon, but I'm really looking to get as close to a CoT mage as possible. They've always been some of my favorite foes. I had no idea they were giving us CoT costume pieces! I'll probably go ahead and create the toon and re-do his costume.

But, until then, I'd still love ideas!

Would the "butt cape" work for some sort of lower body selection?

The so-called 'butt-cape' is a Female Arachnos Soldier exclusive item.

The nearest analogue for males is the trench-coat.

You might construct something similar to the picture Bill posted, with a long martial-arts robe and a kilt. Or use the belt item from the Martial Arts Super Booster.

I've seen the really baggy pants used on a huge model and they looked for the most part like a flowing robe, think it was combined with a same coloured short upper body robe. See what that combo can do, you could play the huge model sliders to make him smaller if that's a prob, just have to deal with the run style

It might be a bit of a wait (or just a possible second or third costume) but I've heard there's some previews of CoT-type costume pieces featured in the PC Gamer article about City of Heroes.
