There are plenty of SS/FA builds on this forum. Search and you might find one. Go back a page or two and you will probably find dozens.
Fiery Embrace is supposed to work on all of your attacks.
It is not hard to switch to villain long enough to do the patron missions. Many others suggest the Mu Mastery pool so you can get two AoE attacks out of your patron pool that aren't cones.
I'm not sure what mission you are doing, but there are probably better ones for you. Search for "fire farm" if you want to find the best missions. You should have 90% Fire resistance from slotting your powers, so the best mobs to take on are the ones that only do fire damage to you.
Mids' is a very useful tool for planning builds. If you have access to a PC, use it to download Mids' and plan your build.
The sets that are important to you are the ones that increase your fire defense or give a bonus to global recharge. Anything else won't make enough of a difference to be worth the time it takes to slot.
chug reds and a few purples before you start the farm. then have bind/macros on hand to quick combine the insp you get into more reds and purples. I started up an ss/fire brute a week ago and he's already at level 44 from just AE farming. Starting out I was running 0/8, then when I got burn I upped it to 1/8 and after footstomp I upped again to 2/8. Once I get some slots into my epic AoE I'll probably go to 3/8.

If all you're looking to do is enhance killing speed, take the Mu Patron Pool. It took me maybe an hour or two (at most) to go through the missions and unlock PPPs. Ball Lightning and Electric Fences are well worth the time for the damage they do. With a Positron's Blast set in Ball Lightning and the damage proc in Fences, I can drop clumps of +0 minions at range while mowing down things in melee with Burn/FS.
1st MAJOR question: Does Fiery Embrace boost the damage of fire attacks from my Ancillary Pool (Pyre) and my Epic pool (newfangled whatchamadoodle) Tier-1 fire blast?
Been farming w/ my ss/fire brute since making him and lvl'ing to 50. He came from Gold and went to hero, and never been a villain, so limited currently in his ancillary pools to heroic ones.
Only IO's I've slotted for him currently are 2x LotG 7.5's, a Steadfast KB protector, and a Steadfast Resistance +3%. All other slots are just SO's... :/
When I farm, it's either AE's w/ NO bosses (If w/ others I spawn it first as the bosses ravage me) or it's the close the portals mission that backflashes to the 5th column way back when.
I'd like to know what the pro's think is the way to achieve being able to take on the bosses in spawns? IE what build change.
Build currently uses:
SS: Punch (seldom use, not slotted); Rage (3 slot recharge) on auto; Foot Stomp (6 slots)
Fire: Every Power taken. Most 3 or 4 slotted. 6 in Blazing aura, Healing Flames, Consume,
Fighting: Boxing (never use), Tough, Weave. Both 4 slotted. 3x def/res, 1x end redux
Speed: Hasten 3 rech, Super Speed (Can ditch on respec as have Ninja Gaiden run)
Leadership: Maneuvers (LotG mule), Assault, Tactics. Run both of the latter
Leaping: Combat Jumping (LotG)
Pyre: Ring of Fire (never use), Melt Armor 3x recharge, Fireball 6 slot for dmg
For my Epic-whatchamacallit power I have 1st tier Fire blast.
Also have the Epic-Damage boost. 1st tier.
TL;DR: Want to enhance/modify this build to make it able to handle bosses in a farm, while maintaining the speed.
EDIT: I farm at +0x8.
