Square peg meet round hole: What is the best non-pet ST DPS for a Crab?

It's silly question time.

What is the best ST DPS a Crab is capable of, not including pets?

I don't care what combination of Crab Spider Solider (melee or ranged) or patron pools it requires, just want to see if anyone has anything worked out for this already.

Thanks for the help.

I have in my notes 122 to 177 ST DPS depending on buffs and debuffs. Double Assault, optimal achilles, and sacrificing everything you can, might nudge you up toward 200. But I'd have to see the build and run a spread sheet. However, My builds have never been offensively optimal, but instead more defensive.

I estimated my crab at around 160. Never bothered to test her more precisely.

I could live with 150, 175 would be a better target.

So Double Assault, Achilles Proc, Aim.

Channel Gun, Longfang and Gloom?

I'm using Gun Attacks, as they animate faster.

Base is around 110, Io Damage Bonuses add ~8, Assault adds ~8 each.
Enough achilles to saturate will multiply the total by 1.2.
If you use a PvP -res and achilles both, you can multiply by 1.25 ish instead of 1.20.
That ends up about 160 before redraw

Reactive Interface T3/T4 can add 60 to 90.
If you use anything that causes redraw: Gloom, mixing Crab/Gun attacks, then dps is lowered.
Since I do mix attacks, It's likely fair to say that between the added benefit of Interface and the detriment of redraw, I get half or less of the bonus from interface; aka Interface is compensating for redraw. I doubt I top 190 even with Interface, but I know I have at least 160.

But each build will have to do it's own spreadsheet and math, as recharge, damage bonuses, endurance, everything varies.

With my current IO layout, Ageless T4, and Reactive T3, I have a 3 attack rotation: Channelgun/Longfang/Arm Lash.

Channelgun max: 195/1.33 sec cast
Longfang max: 291/2 sec cast
Arm Lash max: 345(rounded down)/1.67 cast

Total damage for chain max: 831
Total cast time: 5 sec
Total dead time due to recharge: 0.04 sec

831/5.04 (Total time not counting lag and human reaction speed)

= 164.88 DPS (rounded to 2 decimal points)

Now, factor in that I do not have an Achilles proc in my current line up because I tend to lean more heavily on AoE. With the proc it would be:

831*1.2/5.04

= 197.86 (rounded to 2 decimal points)

Additionally, I only have 3 Thunderstrike io's in both channelgun and longfang. If for some reason you wanted to go all out and use 5 Apocs in one and say 5 Devastations in the other, it would be:

Channelgun max: 213/1.33 sec cast
Longfang max: 364/2 sec cast
Arm Lash max: 345(rounded down)/1.67 cast

Total damage for chain max: 922
Total cast time: 5 sec
Total dead time due to recharge: 0.04 sec

922/5.04 (Total time not counting lag and human reaction speed)

= 182.94 (rounded to 2 decimal points)

with an Achilles proc:

922*1.2/5.04

= 219.52 (rounded to 2 decimal points)

If you really want all 3 to be ranged ST, then it would look like this:

Channelgun max: 213/1.33 sec cast
Longfang max: 364/2 sec cast
Gloom max: 363/1.1 cast

Total damage for chain max: 940
Total cast time: 4.43 sec
Total dead time due to recharge: 1.44 sec

940/5.87 (Total time not counting lag and human reaction speed)

= 160.14 (rounded to 2 decimal points)

with an Achilles proc:

940*1.2/5.87

= 192.16 (rounded to 2 decimal points)

You can change a lot of your other io's to increase dmg%, recharge speed etc, but you are going to gimp your build elsewhere. As you can see it really depends on what you want to change in other parts of your build and what you are slotting. I would say that an average build is going to run somewhere between 160 and 180 DPS.
