Want to go to Comic Con? But missed the last round of ticket sales? GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!
I think I'm done with Comic-Con. Just maneuvering around the place and getting into anything has gotten more and more frustrating as it gets more and more popular. The latest farce with just getting freakin tickets was the nail in the coffin for me. You are dead to me Con! Dead!

You can see my dilemma...
I know I'll probably regret asking this, but what's wrong with California?
Please tell me you have a better answer than something that's pretty much limited to L.A. or San Francisco hehe
I just don't have any interest in going there. *shrug* That holds true for places like NYC as well. About the only place I'd really want to visit in CA is that forest of which I am blanking on the name ATM. I come from a State that only has about 800k people in it...I dun like being around more people than that.
I've been in one of the LA airports and that was enough for me.

I've lived in both San Diego and the Bay area. If I could afford it, I'd be in San Diego hands down over anywhere else I've lived, though the state political and economic scene is a big downer.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
A number of attendees have brought to our attention the fact that many people purchasing 4-day badges are not planning to attend all four days, while many people who want to attend all four days are forced to buy single-day badges at a higher price. In response, Comic-Con will no longer be offering a discount for 4-day badge purchases. Instead, a 4-day badge and four single-day badges will be the same price. We hope that this change will encourage people to purchase only the days they will actually be attending, leaving additional badges for others who want to attend Comic-Con.

The problem with this is - they don't let you pick up your one day badges early. As a result, if you only want to attend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, you have to get in a ridiculously long line every morning to get that day's badge. I'm sure a lot of people who are not going all four days will continue to buy four day badges to avoid this PITA.

Back to Comic-Con talk for a bit... my girlfriend and I got curious so we looked up how many tickets are on sale on craigslist/auction sites. There are literally HUNDREDS of pairs of tickets up for auction, some of them going for $600-$800 for a pair of four-day passes!!!! This irks me to no end. And further explains why the ticket system they used this year was so overwhelmed. Scalpers and ***holes were flooding it.
The system they use for this is not working. Which is bizarre because you actually have to go there in-person and show a picture ID in order to get your pass.
Go to L.A., Con. They can have you.
Apparently these new ticket sales started today at 10AM PST.
They appear to be using a new system that might fare better at keeping away the scalpers, at least in theory. I'm gonna try for a Sunday ticket just so I can go and loot the trade bins, but I'm not getting my hopes up!
The con is still dead to me, but I'd like to go kick its corpse one last time hehe
