NPCs cause frame rate to drop to 0.

Ok this one is weird, and it wasn't happening to me last night. Nothing has changed on this pc.

Today when I run into an AE farm and agro 10+ things, as soon as the NPC start responding (casting spells) my frame rate plunges from 60 to 0. It gets slower and slower and eventually stops and stays frozen at 0 until I'm dead (and all the npc's have stopped doing stuff) then returns to 60+ FPS.

(notes: the problem is not related to heat, or anything weird running in the background on this computer. I have tried two different graphic drivers. I won't be posting COH helper logs etc etc - either you recognize this COH issue or you don't)

Anyone heard of this problem before?

Yes.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

i know custom baddies in the creator depending on their costumes can have a major impact on performance

capes, auras, animated tails, and anything else thats animated increases lag and if you have all the above combined it can very easily cause massive lag spikes

suggestion is using a map with enemies using the simplest designed costumes to increase performance

Hmm thanks, the problem was not happening 12 hours ago though (same map). All other graphics are uneffected (running around the city my FPS is 60+ like always). Something about the NPC's powers is causing it.

MSE isn't the only AV program that has had odd effects on the game. You don't need to switch AV programs, simply add an exception to the program for the game folder.

As for whether texassux, as you claimed in your last post, you had already stated in your first post that it wasn't anything running in the background on your computer and that you weren't posting any logs. You asked if anyone had heard of the problem and I replied that I had. I felt it useless to offer any more than that since you had already stated that what I knew to be the cause of the problem wasn't the cause of the problem. Since you'd also basically said you weren't going to help with troubleshooting, I felt there was no need for me to elaborate.

EDIT: Also, if you look at those links, I believe you'll find proof that I had heard of the problem before.

My inf says one of the AE critters just got early access to Time Manipulation and used it to lock his renderer in a temporal loop.
