The logic behind "Mission: Æxcellence"
The greater the demand for player-created content improves the chances that authors and mission designers will be given greater tools in which to present their stories and missions. Therefore, "Mission: Æxcellence" has been created in hopes of bringing together positive and community-minded individuals to improve the quality and demand of player-created content.
Almost sounds like a mission statement! O.O


What's this about?
  • Sessions of aspiring authors and avid mission players within the Architect Entertainment system to provide testing, plays and feedback to participating authors in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Note that authors who participate more will have their arcs given higher priority, but will only be 1 at a time. Otherwise, lower rating and lower played arcs will be the priority.
  • The driving force behind these sessions will be the community and the continued participation in helping aspiring authors and mission designers provide a highly polished finished product they can be proud of.
  • There will be no special treatment towards any author due to their veteran or A/E status. How soon an author's creation (or re-creation) gets played will be based on their participation.
Who is this for?
  • First and foremost, positive-minded people who get involved.
  • These sessions are for those who want to be inspired and be an inspiration to the community around them... continuously.
  • These sessions will not be for those who simply want to create a mission or arc, publish it, advertise it and hope for plays while they are off doing missions, task forces and trials.
  • For the non-authors, these sessions will be a way to voice your opinons on how authors can better improve aspects of their creations.
What genre of arcs are valid?
  • Every genre except blatant farms. Canon-related, comedy, horror, origin, etc. are all welcome.
  • Please have a "Published" product and do "Test" mode beforehand, even if the work is "In Progress" is fine.
  • It will be encouraged to see your creations for what they are, and not for what they are wanted to be.
  • Individuality is high on the list of priorities here, but please be open to input.
How often are the sessions held?
  • Mission: Æxcellence is now by request, so there is no set day or time.
  • Please give me at least 3 days notice so that I may post here and give others opportunities to participate.
  • See "Next Session" below.
Where are the sessions held?
  • The Architect Entertainment building in Rikti War Zone will be the meeting point, so all levels and archetypes are welcome
  • Though my home server is Guardian, I now have transfered characters to the following servers to visit you on your turf: Exalted, Freedom, Virtue, Victory, Liberty, Union & Defiant.
  • I do plan on transfering characters to the remaining servers as Free Server Transfers become available.
How to get in on this
  • /t @SupaFreak, in-game is the best way to reach me, as I tend to do a poor job on checking my posts regularly.

Yea, yea.. short notice on first session... sorry bout that.

Anyhoo... wanted to state that I'd prefer if arcs to be played/reviewed are in a "Published" state. We did do some "Test Mode" tonight, but I really would like products to be in a "In Progress" or better state for this.

Will clarify the posts.

Second session went slightly better (minus the disconnects and bugged leadership)...

Hmmm...Supa's been uncharacteristically quiet lately. Didn't see him last wednesday or for the Ænvasion on Union. I wonder if he's having tech probs. Hope everything's alright.

Real life swept me away from all internet activity for a while... my apologies to anyone looking forward to the July 6th scheduled event.

Still working later hours than usual, so moved the time back 2 hours... but gonna shoot for another session this Wednesday night. Will only have time for 1 arc run-thru!

Ran through Lord of Storms new arc with him tonight... potentially freakin' AEwesome arc from my viewpoint. Finale is unlike any I've personally encountered yet. Tried to talk him into helping the dim-witted like me understand the complexity of it all more... hafta see if he makes any modifications.

Ran thru Zamuel's work-in-progress arc that was temporarily published to receive rewards for participants. Gotta say there's some clever use of mechanics at this point, very nice looking customs and no dull moments. The Zam man just needs to finish writing the NPC text, clues and mission dialogue for the 3 missions of the arc we witnessed... but the arc is looking to be another quality arc by Zam.

Updating that this service is still available with a 3 day notice and that I now have level 50s transferred to the following servers: Exalted, Freedom, Virtue, Victory, Liberty, Union & Defiant.
