I look at it this way. If there is a thread that people don't want to look at or read then people should skip it.
If it gets to the point if people see a thread and people start to hate on it just because it exists then they have some issues that only specialized help can solve.
And yes puppeh fluffy sorta like you.

Edit: I should specify. If there was one sticky rookery thread, and it was all contained there, you'd never here me say the word "Rookery" again. It's strictly the nuisance of stuff being pressed off first page, and it's gotten worse because now people that used to post just don't bother.
Edit: Checking the second page is even worse, 9 of 25.

So anyway, if I cancel my 2nd account now, will it be reactivated as a premium account or a free play account when i21 comes out?
If you re-activate it when Freedom comes out, it'll be Premium if I recall. I may be wrong (usually am)

Actually, if the account has -ever- been paid for in the past, it's premium. So, people that quit subbing 5 years ago? Yeah, they can come back and be premium. Now keep in mind, they won't get the extra stuff that longtime subbers will, mainly, extra character slots.

Specifically:
- Spam - this is considered to be repetitive posting of the same topic or text or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users.
- Bumping posts in order to keep them near the top of the list is also prohibited. Likewise, the use of "/signed" posts and /jranger are not allowed in that they dont engender constructive discussion.
- Cross posting - As a courtesy to others before beginning a new thread, please look to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established using the Search feature. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly and many good ideas may be lost. Use the Search link to keep discussions about one topic to one thread only.
I understand moderation of community forums requires a degree of leniency as nobody enjoys heavy-handed moderation. But please either enforce all of your rules or enforce none of them. It's a bit unfair to pick and choose like you are doing.
Xan, this arguement was raised in the past, they even moved it to the Role-Playing forum. Back then it was Mod 5 or something.

for the description of Spam, the Rookery. has several recurring themes but is no more mindlessly repetative than any other post likewise being spam because it's all about CoH. and While the Rookery. is indeed nonsensicle, it's nosensicle in a community building way (as demonstrated by the creation of the rookery global channel, a few dedicated SG/VGs and numerous TFs and missions over the years)
As for bumping, adding anything (including silliness that adds to the creative improv that is the days theme) =/= a bump or /jranger.
And finally, as the Rookery. theme changes on a daily basis (aside from the weekend post which covers saturday and Sunday) the posts aren't duplicates of the same topic.
So while you may see rules violations, I am unable to agree, and apparently the mods have been generally agreeing with my interpretation for a number of years so far.
However, it was a very well formed, coherent, and well thought out critique. Thank you.
