Dang Arwen, I've been working a lot of hours and just spotted this. Glad to hear that Phantom came through the surgery okay and is steadily recovering. Best wishes on that trend continuing.

Great Phantom news today! Over night, he drained a LOT of CSF (cranial-spinal fluid) out of his cranium, and the swelling really went down. His ICP (inter-cranial pressure) dropped and all of his vitals continue to remain stable. His night nurse was very pleased with his results and said he made fantastic progress. His day nurse today echoed that and said the doctor was very happy this morning when he checked in on him.
Phantom's doctors and nurses have been asking him to give a thumbs up to answer their questions. Today, he gave two spontaneous thumbs up! Once was when my mom and I were telling him he's doing very well and made good progress, and the other was when I told him Brax was coming to see him in a few days. He also moved his head and feet a lot, which he hadn't been doing much of before. He squeezed our hands on command, and even reached for Mom's hand once on his own.
Great day for progress!
Very exciting news indeed! Yay Phantom!
Sounds like very positive progress. Continued best wishes for a speedy recovery.
