New WS having troubles with a build
With a tri-form WS, what powers are typically the ones to devote slots to?
|
Also, with focusing on recharge, when it's said to shoot for 85% to get eclipse perma, is that with or without hasten running. I want to make sure I'm not overcompensating there by assuming Hasten counts in the totals. |

What powers do you use most? Generally, Dark Extraction and Gravity Well want slots. Everything else is to taste or build-dependent.
I believe that's 85% plus the 70% of hasten for a total of 155%. I always just go for perma-hasten. |
On a tri build do most attack from Nova, or is it typically a blend of all the forms? I don't tend to hear a lot of talk toward attacking from human form when doing a tri-form build.
Thanks for the help. I'm hoping to make this my second incarnate/heavy IO build.

Ya, see what you like first. I used all my vetspecs up years ago on my shade
As far as what you attack from, that is going to vary a bit too. I personally stay in Nova as much as possible, as that is generally where the best damage is from. Human is my buff form and Dwarf is a "I accidentally only hit 1 enemy with eclipse"/taunt form. It's also possible, though, that Dwarf will have the highest damage potential against a single hard target, like an AV; I use a different build for that situation.

All right, so after reading a lot and putting quite a bit of time into Mids, I've come up with the following build. The play style I am looking at is focused on using all forms. I've also stayed away from purples, except the one in Dark Extraction. Would anyone mind looking at this and seeing if I am missing anything valuable here.

It looks alright. A few things:
-You're going to want some heal in Black Dwarf Drain
-Dwarf Mire might want some more endredux
-Eclipse does not need that many Acc IO's
-Dark Extraction has good recharge but poor damage
-Super Speed doesn't need a stealth IO since you can stack it with shadow cloak for full invisibility
-Absorption would rather have Steadfast: res/def or Aegis: Psionic/status resist
Other stuff is more a matter of taste

So now that I've played more I've done some more tweaking (also considering feedback here and in other threads). Without a doubt I play tri-form with Nova for damage and the other forms mostly for buffing/controlling situations. Perma Eclipse is a main goal.
I have some concerns with the below build I am looking at and was hoping for some feedback:
1. Stygian Circle-Is that too much healing enhancement? I notice the heal is strong on its own, and as I level I'm sure there will be even more bodies. I'm thinking I can save a heal slot here and use it elsewhere.
2. Dark Extraction-Not sold on this slotting. I want to keep the recharge up to have 3 out, but also want to keep damage/accuracy respectable.
3. Eclipse: Just need a gut check here...Accuracy feels low.
4. Dwarf seems endurance heavy to me, especially Mire and Drain.
5. Dwarf Drain: Can someone gut check me on this. I'm trying to have good healing and decent damage as I realize it can hit pretty hard.
6. Any other advice is welcome.

Dream Demon--Up and coming MFWarshade
Hi all,
So I've decided to make a new WS after reading the MF Warshade guide (great guide by the way). I'm usually very competent at creating builds for characters, but I find myself struggling with this one. I don't have Mids in front of me so I can't post what I've worked on, but my question may be rather basic in any case.
With a tri-form WS, what powers are typically the ones to devote slots to? I have some mules in there like the concealment pool and CJ for LotG recharge, but outside of that I'm a bit lost on what is used often enough to get slot attention.
Also, with focusing on recharge, when it's said to shoot for 85% to get eclipse perma, is that with or without hasten running. I want to make sure I'm not overcompensating there by assuming Hasten counts in the totals.
Thanks,
Nicoliy
