Why would you take Havoc Punch over Charged Brawl? It's long animation make it do less DPA than Charged Punch or Jacob's Ladder. If you are only going to take one punch, Charged Brawl is better. Even so, if you want to be able to do any ST DPS, I would never skip either unless you are using gloom or burn in your ST chain.
Does it have to be Mu Mastery? Soul Mastery will get you better ST DPS with Gloom and you can take Dark Obliteration for additional AOE.

The easiest way to increase survivability on any character is to add defense. Aim for 20%, 32.5%, or 45%. You can go with S/L and E/N, or positional defenses. For Fiery Aura, it may be hard to get a lot of defense, so aiming for 32.5% S/L and E/N may be the easiest way to reach a significant level of survivability.
Your build should have Weave and Combat Jumping, as a minimum for defensive toggles. Maneuvers and Stealth can help, but they are expensive on endurance. It is up to you if you choose to take those or not, but make sure to turn on combat suppression for Stealth in Mids' so it doesn't report more defense than it should in combat.
If you can't make a build on your own, search the Brute forums for ANY Fiery Aura build and try to modify it to fit your needs. Post whatever you get here and we can help you modify it to make it better.
Hiyas, i play a Ele/fire/Mu Brute, pure farmer. So ill cut this short, i really would like a build for more team-based friendly. Defenders last longer then me atm in fights, and its pathetic. So im looking for someone which could come up with an awesome build for me.

Things which i must have is the Speed Pool Power, only for Hasten though. IMO, every character needs Hasten..
Secondly, Leaping. For Combat Jumping and Superjump. Does not matter when these powers are picked, i dont mind a travel at 14 or later. I do not have the vet reward to get the travels earlier, so has to be atleast level 14.
Thirdly, for Fire Shields. I need everything except for ROTF. Its not needed, but would come in handy if room. Temperature Protection i dont mind, just because i normaly just 2 slot it for +3 DEF from Steadfast Set, and the Knockback Prot from that set aswell.
Now, for Ele Melee. Only thing which i dont want is Lightning Clap. Also since im looking to add more defense, if you use the Kinetic Combat sets, can pick up Charged Brawl. But i normaly skip to Havoc Punch, and not bother with the T1. But since Kinetic Combats are nice, i dont mind picking them up.
