Game keeps "Not Responding" and other issues

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

A lot of folks have been experiencing related problems since we have to use the NcSoft launcher.
I'm not sure if that's the culprit, but everything was fine before....

When it was all said and done I loaded my game again and HOORAY I could see my mouse cursor!!! However, I went through the create character process again and once I get to the last screen where you name your character the game freezes completely. I have to ctrl+alt+del and force shut down. I tried starting up an existing character and that seems to work until I talk to a contact or a pop-up window opens (you know like one of those "<contact's name> wants to talk to you!" pop-ups). I never get an error message, I have to open my task manager every time to close the game, and every time the task manager says "not responding" by city of heroes. Like I said, I played about 4 months ago and the game worked perfectly fine, so what could be the problem now? |
The game freezes and I bring up task manager and the game is not responding, this just started happening so it must have been something in the server maintenance they just did.
Its happening every 15 mins which is unacceptable.
