SS/Shield, with incarnates, it is better to build on that base?
On my wm/sd I originally went with physical perfection and cardiac for the end. But when I realized what Destiny - Ageless could do for me, I switched to aid self and spiritual. If you can get to T4 ageless, you shouldn't have too many end issues. That would let you get soul for gloom and dark oblit and spiritual for increased recharge and faster attacks.

I wanted to try a build where Shield Charge Foot Stomp and I could use them quickly, but no good if I do not have endurance to keep the attacks! And sure, surviving the enemy attacks.

I did years ago, a character theme, which I like very much and despite not playing so often, consider it my second main character.
