GM saved me, just like a Hero :)
This happens to me all the time restarting the client solves it.

Generally, typing: /stuck should pop you back onto the map.
Edit:
Back in the day, when I was new and sending support tickets more often, I used to friend all the GMs I came across. It was just for kicks. I didn't bother them directly.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

/stuck nor /sync does not work nor does someone tp'ing you. To anyone else you look to be on the map normally. Porting to pocket D can stop it but it just continues to happen until you reload the client.

I'm pretty sure this is caused by the same thing that causes the game to regularly crash for me. It's likely a memory leak, it's been happening to me for about 2 months now, it only happens after about an hour or so of play, lots of zoning with a large team (IE a task force) will cause it to happen a bit faster, and it usually happens when I'm trying to zone. Sometimes the game crashes completely, sometimes I get the "zone without any land" effect. Usually I still see people, cars, and doors. ^_^ Once I flew across the zone to the train doors which I could see, and was able to zone to another zone but there was no land there either. Only rebooting the game fixes it.

Sometime the client fails to load the map collision data, hence the client thinks you're in freefall but the server (and anyone looking at your character) thinks you're stationary. As you fall the client sends your position to the server and the server replies with "no you're not, you're here" which pops you back up, but without a floor to collide with you start falling again, and again and again.
in a similar vein of GM saves;
I crafted the wrong T4 Rebirth and sent a ticket begging them to give me the one I wanted. my very deepest thanks to GM_****** for fixing it for me. Saves me having to go re craft the entire thing all over.
nVidia I think.
I try to avoid ATI.
And you've been saved by GMs twice this past week or so, Chaos. ^_^

Hello all.
I was playing an AE mission with my Claws/Fire today, when a Bone Daddy sent a gust of neg energy my way which was a tad too strong for me and I died.
I poked the hospital button, and instead of the Hospital, I found myself falling through the air, yet there was no ground to stop my falling. I saw doors and windows without buildings, and lots of blue skies with white fluffy clouds.
I turned on the Pocket D transporter, and it worked
I exited Pocket D via Port Oaks exit, and found myself falling through space again. Same blue skies and fluffy white clouds, but this time I saw things. I saw people walking, cars floating, windows and doors, but no buildings, I even saw player toon at the Black Market.
I tried to do a /whereami but it would not work..so I sent a stuck petition in anyway...I really did not want to have to start the mission all over again.
Within a minute, maybe less, GM V_Harris swoops in like a Hero should, and sent me to Mercy. Unfortunately, my computer froze while zoning, so I had to restart anyway, but it is alert, caring people like GM V_Harris that keeps this game as wonderful as it is.
If you are reading this GM V_Harris, thank you for being bright-eyed and bushy-tailed today
Lisa.
