When you're designing a character, do you usually start with their personality, appearance, background, or something else? Is it different for every character?

I wonder Troy, how many people recognize that lovely face in your forum avatar? I was a kid when I saw that movie... and STILL talk about that particular part of the trilogy!

This was a great event to have the privilege of moderating, and I thought the questions were a nice selection of the generalized and the more personal.
Thanks again to Troy and JWB for allowing Protector to probe their minds for a few minutes.

Your forum or global handles will be used when the question is asked.
Questions submitted here will take precedence over any questions asked during the actual event, in case time becomes an issue.
