I just had a fun thought.

Since the double build up occurs after a placate, it could potentially trigger the rare double AS crit.

With a double build up going that just sounds like a lovely orange number.

Of course it's ridiculously unlikely to ever happen.

Yes, it's fun. No, it's not likely. Yes, it completely tears up Freakshow Tanks - who are vulnerable to energy damage anyway (the only time I ever had it happen). >.>

Not when sets like FM & DM are available. Or honestly, SS, or WM or even SM.

I can't justify the level of ST output (which I don't think is all that great, I'd love to be proven wrong) at the sacrifice of AoE damage.

DM already does that, and it does it with a Self Heal and an Endurance Recovery Tool.

FM does ST extremely well, doesn't require a ton of rech to get a solid Attack chain and has a better AoE.

-Damage is a nice debuff, but its kind of pointless at the endgame against Single Targets on an AT designed to eat aggro for groups.

As a Brute the only single targets you will really need to debuff with -Damage (AVs) have heavy resistance vs. the tiny amounts of -Damage you can apply as a melee character.
AVs rarely have significant -dmg resistance and this is because the only thing that resists -dmg is dmg resistance; outside of toggles and unstoppable or something similar Av's don't have dmg resistances that are very high

Plus resistance only resistance the specific damage type (like lethal resistance would resist lethal damage, and resist lethal -dmg) but most -dmg debuffs cover all damage types (being lethal, smash, fire, cold, psi, energy, neg, toxic) and some AVs only have resistance to some damage types, but deal damage of a different kind (take for example, Marauder, who deals mostly smashing damage, but also has some energy damage attacks. He has resistance to lethal and smashing naturally, but very little energy resistance, so any -dmg would lower his energy damage by a lot more then it would lower his lethal, or smashing damage)
