Steampunk Pack - Jodhpurs???

I have been waiting for jodhpurs as a costume item for a long time. They are for a military uniform for one of my villains. When the Steampunk Pack showed up, low and behold there they were, jodhpurs, listed as plain as day. I purchased the pack and headed to the tailor to fancy up my badguy, when I found...NO JODHPURS!!! There were a couple types of "steampunk" pants, but absolutely nothing resembling a pair of jodhpurs. I hope this oversight will be corrected ASAP, as I really want to get my character fixed up properly.

For those who don't know, jodhpurs originated as Indian polo pants. From there, the English brought them to the rest of the world, who adopted them as equestrian wear. Soon, military uniforms modeled after riding gear would appear, and the jodhpur would be used as military wear. In the modern era, stretchier fabrics have made riding pants more form fitting. For some reason, English-style riding pants are still called jodhpurs, even though they aren't jodhpurs at all.

Can we have our jodhpurs, please...AS ADVERTISED?

I'd hate to think I spent my money on this pack just to have the one item I REALLY wanted to be missing in action. *sigh*

Apparently under Pants (Baggy) they have Steampunk and Victorian Steampunk.

I think that's what they were trying to sell ast Jodhpurs.

Indeed they were, but it doesn't wash. Multiple countries have used jodhpurs as part of their uniforms for a LONG time, including the USA...as evidenced by General Patton in his cavalry uniform with jodhpurs.

Yes but "Old Blood and Guts" wore his tucked into his cavalry boots. Look at your pic.

You can simulate that with the pants we have now.

The only thing you can't simulate is an exposed "tight pant leg" option.

Actually, you can't simulate jodhpurs with the pants we have. If you'll note, the jodhpurs get narrow over the knees. Then, the already tight pants legs are tucked into cav boots and such. There is a section of narrow pants leg from the lower thigh to below the knee which is very visibly exposed above the boot. The "tucked in" option won't give us that at all. Plus, the pants we have which are "tucked in" aren't nearly wide enough at the top to look like jodhpurs.

Now, we -can- get the tight pants leg with either the "baggy" or the "pants" option under tights combined with the "straight" option for boots.

Been waiting for Jodhpurs for a very long time, myself. Since January 2005, when I created Ace Barnstormer, who currently uses the baggy pants. Not bad, but would like to see the variation.

I've also needed them to complete my tank homage to this guy:
