Chat color bind
One, make sure beginchat and everything after that is enclosed with quotation marks. Might want a space between the last value and the closing quotationmark.
Two - if one does not work, try /unbind enter
And then go menu -> Options -> Graphihcs tab and they have settings for this kind of thing there.

I'm trying to change an old bind that I used to use to make my chat background transparent. After reading the forums for 30 minutes (and trying out numerous combinations), nothing works. I am using the following:
/bind enter beginchat <color red><bordercolor pink><bgcolor #ffffff00> |

From one of the programmers: The new SMF code converts < and > to < and > (which show as < and > in displayed text but don't get recognised as meaning 'this is a tag' internally in order to stop players from breaking other people's clients with bad tags or whatever. Unfortunately this means the text colouring doesn't work any more. Probably needs a better solution but not a high priority until the start of next year. |

Please help!
I'm trying to change an old bind that I used to use to make my chat background transparent. After reading the forums for 30 minutes (and trying out numerous combinations), nothing works. I am using the following:
/bind enter beginchat <color red><bordercolor pink><bgcolor #ffffff00>
That bind actually works...sort of. Once I hit enter, it places the color information in my chat message. The problem is that I don't have a cursor to type my message. In fact, I can't type any text at all, unless I manually bring a cursor into the message string. What do I need to add/remove/change so that I can simply hit enter and begin typing away?
Thanks in advance!
