Fire/Dark what set bonuses should I aim for?
Either one is a pretty solid choice. You can also get a moderate amount of s/l or ranged defense (32%) and go with Dark Mastery to still get all the tricks in there. A small purple or most of your tohit debuffs will effectively softcap you.
Definitely get decent recharge and recovery though.

I'd likely take something like this Dark Miasma/Sonic Blast and modify it for Fire Blast/Dark Miasma. Solid Defenses across the board, with Good S/L/E Resistance, and Endurance Managment Powers. Cardiac might make endurance management more of a moot point, at which point you could go for SLE capped defense via Scorpion Shield instead of resistance. I prefer the more balanced approach, letting the Dark Powers enhance defense and resist via -tohit and -damage. Fully debuffed targets would be facing the equivalent of 90 defense and Max SLE resist with moderate other resists.
Here's a real quick build I rolled up for her (Also my first corr build since like ever!), I set it for the spiritual alpha slot for now, more heal and recharge seems like a good idea. If endurance consumption is too high though I'll switch into cardiac.
This is just with S/L soft capped, also I only have a moderate amount of inf flying around so I can't afford most of the higher end purples.

This is what I run currently. Lots of expensive toys but none are required to get the build working. The 2 Siphon Insight sets and the Steadfast Protection +3 def IO are all that you need to get to the S/L softcap (Assuming well slotted defense powers). End is only a problem if you spam your attack chain. Throwing in some debuffs is usually enough to keep the end bar up. The power order is a bit off though, Hasten and Super Speed should be taken at 6 and 14.
For your Alpha I would really suggest Musculature Radial Paragon. It covers more of what a Fire/Dark does all the time.

EDIT: I am a dummy lol, removed the fourth from all the LoTGs and threw in some more recov with various other sets. Thanks for reminding me I had to many acc bonuses or I don't think I would have rethought it this soon.
I just rolled up my first corruptor, who ended up being a fire/dark so far it has been extremely badass I must say. But my question is which sets should you aim for on a fire/dark?
Is it worth it to try soft capping s/l or ranged or better to just go full out recharge/recov/max HP?
EDIT: As an added note are most procs worth slotting in RoF?
