Archery/Devices/Munition Mastery blaster help

I've just made 50 on my Archery/Devices/Munition Mastery blaster and need some help. Are there some good MIDs builds out there? I've searched, but can't find quite what I'm looking for. I want good defense as I solo quite a bit, but also want to do decent damage... cause, like I said, I solo a lot. Any and all help would be appreciated! I'm not posting his current build because all he has is the basic technology enhancements.

Thanks!

It depends on how you play. Are you a slow and careful trapper? You set a single caltrop+mine patch and have at them? It all makes a difference on play style.

I'm more of the latter, I drop a trip mine and a time bomb, then shoot an arrow and lead them into the trap. I don't spend a lot of time setting up traps, honestly.

Yes, it does, but none of those exactly match my character. I was hoping that someone could offer advice based on the Archery/Devices/Munition Mastery sets. But thanks, I will look through those links again.

Nothing is going to exactly match your character because no one knows your play style but you.

Archery and AR are very much the same even down to DPS type. The only thing is Archery has a higher accuracy inherit. But nonetheless what you need to understand that all the primaries are all the same. All have AOE, PBAOE, Ranged attacks ( quiet obvious ). The only difference is the secondary effect that each power has. So Fire is going to put out some more DPS then AR or Archery because of fire damage type.

But at the end of the day when your level 50 with IOs and incarnate slotted doing PvE content how much more damage is a similarly IO slotted Fire going to do over your toon persay. Is it going to be some large numbers that will make you look pitiful in the wake of his massive destruction ? Of course not.

All you need to do is up load any */Device or */Device/Munition build into mids and replace the first powers with archery. Disregard the levels of where they are picked for the moment and just make sure they are slotted according to what you like.

I am more then positive that the Retrofitting AR Device thread has a decent amount of Device/Munition builds.

The one thing your not expressing or stating is if you want or understand what defenses are and if you want them.

End result with a Device type toon you don't have much to work with. It is Either Defense or Recharge. Yes there is DPS but it is obvious if we both put out the same damage for an attack but I have more recharge I will out DPS you.

Most of your device builds are going to be Ranged capped ( which is what I have and favor ) or recharge with Aid Self.

So if you don't understand something from the game mechanics ask. Otherwise between those 20 some odd builds pull something out and post it with what your trying to do.

Example I seen someone post I went with defenses for my build place 10% defenses across the board and thought he was okay. After it was explained what defenses are and how they work, he came back with something more to what he was looking to do. Some people are just making Tanks/Brutes/Scrappers just to be fire defense capped so they can run farm missions only. Again all depends on what your mind set is and what your looking to achieve with this toon.

This is one of the most ridiculous builds I have ever had the pleasure to witness. Needs to use inspires for defense, but with RoA for every spawn, they drop like candy from the enemy pinatas that are before you.
