Yup, I've had the same thing for a while now. It's very annoying and I've not found a solution.
I have experienced this too. I think it started around issue 19 and seems to start in the early evening UK time. Mornings and afternoons seem fine.

Badging character: Bimble on the Union server, Badgehunter.com and City Info Tracker.
When I log in and click a server to play on, the game client often hangs for quite a long time, upwards of 30 seconds. This also happens when selecting different characters, it some times takes a minute or more to select a character, all the while the client is completely frozen.
Anyone else experience this and is there any solution?
Running on windows 7.
